Anyhow, the night was not without some emotional aspects to it. The years have apparently been very unkind to Paul Kelman as he looked 20-30 years older than everyone else, was hunched over, and toting a cane. I'm not sure if he had a stroke or some other affliction, but it was a miracle that he even showed. We were a little concerned for him during his time on stage as he looked like he was sweating buckets under the lights and was nearly about to pass out. On the autograph line, he wasn't very talkative at all. Almost as though he was in his own little world... Other than that, the night was terrific and I got them all to sign my DVD. I wanted to get pictures but my friend who had the camera had to leave as she had work early the next morning and the night was running rather late. I hope to upload a scan of the DVD with sigs soon. Take care!

Got back from the screening of MBV at the Bloor Cinema here in Toronto and.... wow. I'm completely starstruck right now lol. The crowd loved the film and gave an enthusiastic cheer during all the deleted footage. Sara (Lori Hallier), TJ (Paul Kelman), Axel (Neil Affleck), Howard (Alf Humphreys), George Mihalka, Producer (can't remember his name lol), and Paul Zaza (score composer) were all there and were very friendly. Lori and I spent a while talking about Toronto etc... she still looks amazing and is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Thanks, Joey, for the kind words. I'm not finding enough time to work on the site at the moment, as the book is taking up all my spare time (35,000+ words so far!). Would love to hear how the MBV showing goes if it happens!

      All the best,

      Justin

Been a horror fan for most of my 27 years but your site really opened my eyes to a lot of films I wouldn't have known about otherwise. In fact it was Hysteria Lives where I found out that My Bloody Valentine had been edited to shreds. I firmly believe that your website had a hand in getting the film FINALLY released uncut, and for that I am grateful. I had the privilage of meeting George Mihalka and Neil Affleck here in Toronto a few months ago when Rue-Morgue attempted to show My Bloody Valentine uncut at the Bloor Cinema (I say attempted as a sudden power failure prevented us from actually watching the film and we had to clear out of the theatre. They're giving it another shot in 4 weeks time. George, Neil, and other members of the cast are to attend. They're calling it a reunion!)

Anyhow, keep up the amazing work. In a time where we drown in a sea of god-awful remakes and PG-13 horror, we need more like you.
