You are correct. That list just couldn't have been compiled by any real horror/sci-fi fan. There is no head explosion in Robocop.
Yes it should. But, they would rather include such classics as "House of the Dead" and Chappelle's Show Season One...which isn't even a movie last time I checked.
They have the Chapelle show listed, and not The Prowler. Whoever wrote this doesn't watch enough movies.
Well, I agree with all of you. The list is definitely lacking but they explain themselves up front if you read the first few paragraphs. "Yes, that's right, the classic, oft-discussed Exploding Head Movie. Myriad films, including both the new and old Dawn of the Dead films, The Toxic Avenger and even Pulp Fiction made our short list, but our picks reflect the best - and worst - of what Hollywood's mavens of mischief could come up with." "The films we picked, meanwhile, fall into several disparate thematic categories - horror, action, sometimes even comedy - but their continuity is marked by one indelible distinguishing characteristic: namely, the documentation, nay, celebration of flying gray matter. " I mean shit, I personally enjoyed the exploding head I put in a short home made horror movie we made in middle school about 15 years ago. It was simple, yet effective. We filled a skin colored baloon up with Crystal Earth and red dye with some small chunks of banana and put a wig on it. Then we took a sledge hammer to it. It rocked.
Agreed. I guess they were giving perks to extreme realness of exploding brain matter in that scene. How tbout the "Grenade in Gene Simmon's Mouth" head explosion at the end of Wanted Dead or Alive. Hell yeah!
nor does it explain "Lifetime Achievement Award: The Story of Ricky-Oh" which is not a head exploding scene either in my opinion. Its a head crushing scene like Toxic Avenger. Like the "Fly II" where the security guy gets his head crushed in the elevator.
I was going to mention that too. But then I figured they just wouldn't include animated stuff because it's easy to explode heads in drawings. Anyway, pretty much anything from Fist of the North Star would be good on the list.

I thought this would be considered a good head explosion. Correct me if I'm wrong but the guys head was outside the elevator and I remember it exploding due to pressure caused by the elevator. No? Eitherway, good shit. Definitely made me go :eek1: and then
