Just like the "Best Horror Film of All Time" tournament we had, this year is a toss up between Halloween and Dawn of the Dead. While DotD is certainly epic and more socially relevant, Halloween is stylistically superior and much better paced. For me, Halloween is the best film of 1978 and arguably the best film ever.

I chose INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. It is one of the few remakes that I think is better than the original, and its just hard to beat this classic. Second place goes to DAWN OF THE DEAD, and HALLOWEEN gets third.

Went with Halloween. Tough choice between Halloween and Dawn of the Dead though.

Wasnt Dawn of the Dead '77? I'm probably wrong though. Anyways I'd go with DOTD, but Halloween is such a close second its up Ken Foree's ass. What a tough choice.

DAWN OF THE DEAD and HALLOWEEN were the best on the list...but Dawn just had a little something extra...

My personal favorite is Piranha. I've really grown to love that film a lot.

But I kinda think Halloween is the best of the year.

I couldn't decide between Halloween and Dawn of the Dead, so I chose Piranha instead.
