Might as well do the 70s
Let's start with 1979.
I went with Abel Ferrara's supremely low-budget; gritty film DRILLER KILLER, although many of the choices on the list had their moments.
Went with Alien. One of my favorite movies
MAN this was HARD!!!!!!!!
Zombi Holocaust, Cannibal Holocaust, Buio Omega, Zombie
all top notch!!!!!!!!!
i voted for Buio Omega tho-- its one of my favs
"sometimes i could just kill you iris!!!!!!!!!!!"
Zombie...again, another great Fulci flick.
I went with The Brood -- freaky little movie!
Lots of great movies here, but none equal the visually magnificent Nosferatu, The Vampyre. That is undoubtedly the best Dracula film ever made, IMO. Ridley Scott's beautifully shot Alien deserves mention as well. My third pick would be the first 15 minutes of When a Stranger Calls.
No shit, probably the toughest one yet.
Had to give it up for Phantasm though...
In 1979 : Alien
Now : Zombie
Easy: The Brood! Oh, how I'd love to see that on DVD. The Australian video release was butchered by the censors.
Believe it or not, but I love "The Amityville Horror". I can't help it, it's an old favorite. Please forgive me. "The Legacy" and "Prophecy" were good too.

What a year....... ......have to pick PHANTASM...........but could just as easily have chosen ALIEN.......
Phantasm, easily. I still consider Alien a Sci-Fi movie.
Hmmm.......I'd have to go with Phantasm. Great flick, a classic.
PHANTASM. Reggie Bannister and Angus Scrimm rule.
This was the hardest one yet... quite a few that could have gotten my vote. Finally it fell on ZOMBIE... Great Zombies and great Zoundtrack...
had to go all Alien up in yo asses.
Alien, although there are a lot of movies up there worthy of my vote. Still. None of them are quite as awesome as Alien.
alien hands down
