    CQ - 4/5

Nice 60's retro type film about two directors at each other throats trying to make a spy movie. Came out in 2001, too bad it didn't get enough screens around the theaters for people to find this hidden gem.

Great idea for a thread!! Since I'm doing this late, I can't very well put dates. For Jan-Mar I'll put them in alphabetical order instead. I'll start the dates from today. These are on a 5 star scale. I'm doing the past 2 months to the best of my memory. I'm also only listing films I've seen for the first time. The only repeat viewings I'll list here are for movies where upon another viewing, my rating changed. I'll put a * next to those.

I guess I'm a little late, but it's better than never.Best out of five stars.

    April
04/10/04 Prom Night(1980) -3.5/5.0 Fun slasher with nice disco tracks.
04/10/04 My Bloody Valentine(1981)-4.0/5.0 Liked the killings but obviously cut.Too bad.The killers costume is one of my fave's.
04/10/04 The Prowler(w/audio commentary)(1981)-5.0/5.0 One of my favorite slashers and again the costume is one of the genre's best.Great gore by Tom Savini.
4/11/04 Starship Troopers(1997)-4.5/5.0 One of the best recent sci-fi films with awsome effects as well.
4/12/04 When a Stranger Calls(1979)-4.0/5.0 Lots of suspense and has a scene that sent a chill down my spine.
4/13/04 Terror Train(1980)-3.5/5.0 First time I have seen this one and it was good. Liked the idea of the magician possibly being the killer.
4/14/04 Tourist Trap(1979)-2.5/5.0 Better than I expected but not great. The mannequins were a bit creepy but the pace was too slow.
4/15/04 Night School(1981)-4.0/5.0 Very good slasher that seems a bit like a giallo. Lots of jumps and decapitations.
4/15/04 The Fly(1958)-4.5/5.0 Classic film with great performance by Vincent Price as always. The creature is pretty cool and weird looking and the final screams of "help me" are memorable to say the least.
4/16/04 The Prey(1980)-3.0/5.0 Bad but in a good way. The acting is hilarious if you can call it that. Very cheesy but I liked it. The ending had Eegah! written all over it.
4/17/04 Lost in Translation4.0/5.0 Good non-traditional love story with a funny and almost dreamlike performance from Bill Murray. Beautiful scenery and odd settings.
4/17/04 The Sweetest Thing 3.0/5.0 Funny in some scenes with very sexual dialogue from Cameron Diaz,Christina Applegate, and Selma Blair. Kind of stupid but worth a watch if just for the hot chicks.
4/18/04 Kill Bill Volume 2(2004)-5.0/5.0 Great film all around. It compliments the first film extraordinarily well and finally gives the reasonings behind all the violence and revenge. Didn't think it could be this good.
4/18/04 Dawn of the Dead(2004)-4.0/5.0 Not better than the original but a better than average zombie film. They should have titled it differently seeing that it bears little resembalance to the original. Along with the new TCM, these are worthy remakes.
4/18/04 Return of the fly(1959)-3.0/5.0 Good sequel to the original but the shot of the overly large human feet on the hamster were cheesily hilarious. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
4/19/05 Dream Lover(1994)-4.0/5.0 One of my favorite mystery suspense films. I like almost anything James Spader is in and Madchen Amick is so hot. The movie has a good script great performances and twists that get me every time.
