Lord of Illusions though it was a very tough choice to make. Most of these are not classics but they are somewhat good.
Actually I have to agree with you somewhat but these were pretty good. However as a decade of horror yes it did sucked. To me horror genre never recovered unless if you love torture pron. The 70's and 80's were the peak years for horror. No rappers, no hipsters, no rich film school students etc etc.
Not the greatest lineup, though DEMON KNIGHT and SPECIES are good fun. I voted for MUTE WITNESS (I actually saw it in a theater), I think it's underrated.
Wow, now I feel bad for beating up on 2005. I went with Prophecy. I remember feeling really let down when I first saw it in the theater. It felt like too much potential was wasted. But, it has really grown on me since I remember liking Habit and The Addiction a lot. But, I haven't seen either since. And, I know I liked Screamers a lot when I saw that. But mainly for Weller's odd, jazzy performance. I should dig that one up again.
I love Prophecy though it's categorization as a horror film is debatable. Truly one of my favorite films of the 90s.
I voted Tales From The Hood as it's the only one I can remember seeing really. I also watched Species again recently, it was good not great and largely elevated by an exceptional cast.
