It's from Miike's production company. It has something to do with 2 chicks who move in together and can't stand each other. It gets worse from there apparently. Has anyone seen or heard anything about this?

No, but if you find out more information, pass it this way...maybe I can bring it to the US for a premiere.

The “Apocalypse Now of cat-fights.” Nozomi and Lana are beautiful actresses who share an apartment: 2 bedrooms, a Living room, Dining room and Kitchen… 2LDK

Imagine Itchy and Scratchy working for the same talent agency, sharing an apartment, sleeping with the same man, auditioning for the lead in the same big-budget movie, and using each other’s shampoo without asking first. Nozomi is an anal-retentive small-town girl living in Tokyo with dreams of making it big, and Lana is a jaded starlet trying to ditch her porno past with one last chance to break into the “real” film industry. The scene is set: Let the mayhem begin!

The escalation from bitchy complaints and open-handed slaps to bleach, electricity, fire, swords and the inevitable chainsaw will either have you jumping out of your seat and running for the exits, or rolling in the aisles with hysterical laughter!

TLA which released Suicide Club for R1 is going to release 2LDK next year. This is very good because I missed this one at the international film festival last year. Dumbass slow friends cause me to miss the only movie I wanted to see at the festival.

Eh. If you can't wait get the Japanese disc. I make it a point never to get a japanese dvd unless it will not be coming out for any other region in the forseeable future or it is vastly better than any other release. Japanese dvds are too expensive for me. Though I think I'll soon be ordering the Silent Hill: Lost Memories DVD because I know it'll never be released anywhere else.

Here's the main problem with Japanese DVD's... no English subtitles. So unless you speak Japanese you're just watching a couple of hot young girls abuse each other... and what's wrong with that?

Hell yeah, thanks for the heads up Nick! I've been dying to check this out for awhile now.

Isn't Aragami the other part of this duel project? Hopefully that is on the way too.

I'm dying to see this film. I got Aragami on DVD and it's pretty good although the ending is kind of hokey. Check out the official site: http://www.duel-movie.jp/

I picked up the r1 disc and watch it today. Loved it.

I thought the movie was alot of fun, slightly funny and even surprisingly dark at times. Once the cat fighting starts, the movie really gets crazy, with the girls using anything they can find to attack each other. Thankfully, it never gets too over the top and remains awesome through out.

Some might complain that the movie only clocks in at 70 minutes, but I think that is perfect. Any longer would've outstayed it's welcome.

My only complaints would be the white subs on white backround in a couple places and the lame FX at the end,
where the girls stab each other and the blood sprays
    .

    Nice viewing though, definitally recommended.

I just saw the most recent film by this director, Love Collage, and found it somewhat disappointing. It was actually a decent love story, but degenerated into an annoying crime plot.

I still want to see 2LDK though

Well... finally saw this and what a letdown. :( Pretty boring IMO. There fighting was standard stuff... nothing too great. Another disc that will probably collect dust on my shelf. :(

That is exactly how I would describe the other part of the Duel collaboration Aragami. A few good fight scenes but nothing else to hold my interest.

Oh man, I truly LOVED this movie.

It has three or four real good belly laughs in it, and the climax is simply brilliant. Of course, this is a comedy, not a horror film - or a film meant to shock with its realistic portrayal of violence. It's plain fun, and totally worked for me.

    Excellent.

I love this movie like crazy. Every little thing about it works for me. The DVD gets lots of play at casa onebyone, because I have moods where this is the only movie on earth I want to see. It both amuses and soothes me.
