October 27th: THE WASP WOMAN and GIANT GILA MONSTER from Elite. Fun disc!!!! The early VHS tape of MAD MONSTER PARTY (the poor print version)
Watched Kubrick's THE SHINING (1980) last night for the first time in many years. I think it just gets better with age! True, the leads tend to over-act to the point of hilarity (I couldn't help but try to imagine how much scarier it would have been without Jack hamming it up), but the film itself is so fucking beautiful you can't stop staring with cow-eyed amazement.
Watched a few lately: Cursed Misery An American Werewolf In London Gonna make it a slasher Friday I think tonight.
Oct. 26th. Mystery In The Wax Museum (1933). Oct. 27th. Went to see Tesla at a local club, that band kicks ass!!
Do they still play stuff from Mechanical Resonance and The Great Radio Controversy when they play a gig? I'd really like to see them live as I never did in their heyday. But great band for sure! October 28: Halloween II Night of the Living Dead/Night of the Living Dead remake- both are being shown on Movie Head (MPIX) tonight.
Hi Maskull, yeah it was awesome, a two and a half hour set both acoustic and electric-all the hits were there and all original members. They played Little Suzi, Comi Atcha Live, Gettin' Better, Modern Day Cowboy, Hang Tough, Heaven's Trail and an awesome rendition of Love Song. The new cd, Into The Now is great too. An awesome band, cool guys and a memorable show-I would highly recommend it and with a ticket price of roughly thirty bucks you can't go wrong. I paid sixty bucks to see Anthrax/Judas Priest two weeks ago and enjoyed Tesla much more. Oct.28th. Batman Begins.
October 25th: The Hunger, Cube Zero Oct. 26th: Rabid Oct. 27th: House by the Cemetary Oct. 28th: Dominion -- A Prequel to The Exorcist Oct. 29th A.M.: A Whisper in the Dark, Brides of Dracula
I just got back from a theatrical screening of FRIDAY THE 13TH PT .3 in 3-D at our local Cinema Cafe. Not my favorite FRIDAY but it sure is a lot more fun in it's original format !
ahhhhh...only the 4th horror movie i've watched this month, and really i only watched it to take notes for an essay. october 28th: The Entity
October 28th: at the cinema and it was AMAZING: "Revenge of Frankenstein" and "Vampire Lovers". It's so much fun! All the costumes, the prizes given on stage...another two days of this at the Castro and I'm a happy goblin!!! The prints were simply superb especially "Vampire Lovers" - the film looked band new!!! Shockingly splendid color, sound...excellent!~ This is gearing up to be the best Halloween yet I've had in my 13 years in this town! > Sadly, I missed "The Creeping Unknown" as I had to pull a 10 1/2 hour work day and didn't have time to make to the theater. It seemed fun and there were many families there with their kids in costume!
