Excellent! I hope Just Before Dawn is Region Free so that I can finally grab a BD of it, since Bill is being unreasonable. I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere online other than that USA elitist cartel site.

I have the Code Red blu ray and believe me, with two different versions of the film (from different print sources) squeezed onto a BD-25, it can EASILY be improved upon. Lol.

Looking forward to hearing more about this release (extras, etc), since the Code Red is barebones.

I just picked up the Code Red version in Pittsburgh. It was used, but mint condition. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I am also interested in what 88 Films version is like.

Glad 88 films are releasing Just Before Dawn, the encoding on the Code Red disc is very mediocre.
Is the Code Red disc out of print? So I can make a billion dollars out of it ;)

My Just Before Dawn blu(CR) hangs up and stops playing constantly, so I will be very grateful to get a better version ( even though I haven't seen it yet I am just guessing).

For those of you who have seen both 88films and Scream factory versions of the Sleepaway Camp films , are the transfers the same or?

Yeah, they are basically the same transfers. Slightly different encodes of course, but they look quite identical in motion.

Definitely picking up Just Before Dawn again. Hopefully 88 will use different artwork, or, better yet, make a slipcover. Not that Code Red's art was bad - I actually love it - but two of the same won't make any sense. And yes, the BD-25 thing was a bad decision.

Oh shit if its OOP maybe I'll sell mine. However the extended European cut that's also included on the Code Red disc may not be carried over. It's really rough looking, but definitely watchable. It kinda adds to the film's atmosphere.

Yes, I'm definitely waiting to see first before I sell mine off too. People will still pay good money for it even after due to it being "Code Red" and OOP.

Maybe if I saw it when I was ten and suffered nostalgia as an adult I'd like it or If I had suffered a brain injury that made Piscopo tolerable

I must say, I'm also not a fan of Piscopo. I find him rather terrible. The effects in Dead Heat are pretty neat though.

I'm not a fan of Piscopo either but he's amusing enough here and both Treat Williams and the effects are pretty neat. It's a fun flick.

Also I never saw this as a kid. Just a fun 80's B-movie. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have seen Dead Heat about 2-3 times, since it came out, but the only thing I can remember, is the melting/decomposing woman.
I might need to give it yet another shot.
