Received confirmation that Mountaintop Motel Massacre has been shipped.
Same here, as well as Dead Heat and Amuck.
Just pre-ordered Amuck on Amazon UK and it was only $14.83 shipped to the U.S.
Same here, can't wait to get this one!

Legitimate announcement on Facebook: JUST BEFORE DAWN
Can't wait for Bill to go on a rampage over this one
Check out 88's Facebook page. Their first announcement of the weekend was an outrageous April Fool's prank: a co-op release between 88 & Code Red to release The Slayer. Bill should have something to say about that one too.
Yeah, I saw that one, and almost fell of the chair.
Until I realized it was the 1:st of April
A cruel joke, since many fans are still waiting for The Slayer to arrive on the format
Um that cover art is amazing. Hopefully they include both cuts like the Code Red blu. And some special features this time around.
It is a great piece of cover art. Too bad the film does little for me. There's a few good scenes but I find the rest tedious. Definitely glad there's another release for the fans of this one though.
Oh man really? I know this movie is short on the gore but it has a really creepy atmosphere to it. I think it's one of the best backwoods slashers, up there with The Burning and Friday the 13th. Love this movie.
Yeah sadly. I watched it recently and just couldn't get into it much. I definitely prefer The Burning and F13.
It was one of the first horror movies I ever saw. Shriek Show released a really awesome SE DVD back in the day with commentaries, interviews. None of them made it onto the Code Red blu, so I'm hoping maybe 88 licensed them or at least adds some new stuff. That DVD wasn't the complete version of the film either.
I love that cover art too, but I kind of agree with Zombie Dude...I watched it once and haven't had the urge to watch it again. That was years ago...maybe I should re-evaluate.
Someone posted on another forum that 88 Films are really releasing The Slayer. It was just the collaboration with Code Red that was the joke.
Now whether or not that's 100% true remains to be seen, but it would seem to make sense.
I'm skeptical about that announcement being even partly legit. I haven't seen any additional comments from 88 about it.
Bruce Holecheck, whom some of you may be familiar with, posted that another label has it. I don't think it was a joke. If it was, I'm going to really hate April 1st from now on.
Yeah, The Slayer is legit coming out from some label but not from 88 Films/Code Red. The VS folks since they also run a film lab are doing the transfer/restoration though they aren't the ones putting it out.
