This movie sounds like one I will have to get, I think I'll grab the 88 Films version, Severin has been releasing their blu rays at the $30 price point, and the 88 Films version looks pretty good to me on DVDBeaver, and Severin will probably not be any better than the 88 Films version anyhow.

Lets do this. Four films to remaster in 2K, https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/88-films-italian-collection-restoration-project--2#/
It kind of annoys me that we have to fund Ænigma before Beyond the Darkness can even start to get funded; this should have just been 4 separate campaigns. Maybe I'll do Level 1 once they hit or come really close to 40,000GBP...
Can't blame them though. Anthro and Beyond The Darkness are the most popular so makes sense to put them #1 and #4. If people want a remaster of BTD they need to contribute otherewise we will get one of the already existing HD Master's that many are not to pleasesd with.
I feel the same. It's nice to see that after only a few hours they are half way through to the first level.
This. Very little interest in Ænigma, would much have preferred Beyond the Darkness. I'll wait and see how close we come to Goal 4 before I decide how much I'll be contributing to this one.
See, I'm down with Absurd, Aenigma and of course, Beyond the Darkness. The other I could take or leave...but they dangled Beyond the Darkness last to get people donating aggressively...
Does Massacre in Dinosaur Valley have content that would need to be cut from a UK release like Man from Deep River had? Don't get me wrong, I am uncomfortable with animal cruelty, but for archival purposes, I am absolutely against censoring these old movies. They are a product of their time, and from an academic perspective, a release censored for contemporary sensibilities holds no interest.
I've never seen dinosaur Valley, but if it has animal scenes in it I can tell you it's a definitive yes.
No animal violence in Dinosaur Valley. 88 has stated on the Indiegogo page that all 4 films will be uncut. Edit: There is a cockfighting scene early in the film. Don't know if that will be an issue but as I recall they don't show animals being killed on-screen like some of the other Italian cannibal flicks.
They may scan them uncut in 2k, but they have not yet been passed by the BBFC, so nothing is guaranteed until they give them the stamp of approval.
