that's quite an improvement from the old DVD.
No kidding, it's one of the rarer "good quality" back catalog release from Universal. Most are just sourced from antiquated transfers and ridden with DNR and edge enhancement.
They need to do more of this...

An improvement over the DVD but still "pasty" and free of grain sounds like I should just skip this.
It is actually a big upgrade over the old DVD transfer however:

That's in comparison to the PAL DVD, but sourced from the same master that was used on the NTSC DVD.
