The UK PAL DVD runs 94:28, that would be ~99 min in NTSC. Did anyone compare the US vs UK DVDs?

There's not a chance at all that this movie as well as the sequel are released in Blu-Ray format, no? What do you think?

    Doubtful.

I believe LionsGate owns the sequel, so unless it changes hands, there won't be a blu-ray for it.

As for the first, Sony owns it. They just licensed 665 films to Mill Creek. Not sure what the films are, but if 976-EVIL is among them, that's probably your best bet for a blu-ray. Twilight Time and Image also release Sony titles, but I can't see them bothering with a blu-ray of it.

976-Evil is actually out on iTunes in 1080p HD so obviously a HD-master is out there, it's not the uncut version though, it's the same as the US DVD but since no one needs to create a HD-master I'd say there's a good chance that this might be released on blu-ray.

The German Eyecatcher DVD is uncut. Runs 102 minutes.

It's on CinemaGeddon and was uploaded there about a year ago.

"This has the cut and uncut version on one disc. English and German audio. German subtitles. Still 4:3. Running time is 103 mins (PAL) for uncut, and 89mins (PAL) for cut."

    Full DVDR 6.95GB

I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed this film when I first saw it a few years ago. Robert England actually had some impressive cinematography going in this, especially towards the end.

I'd love a blu of this (even the sequel!), especially if it's uncut and in widescreen.

I just now realized that she was also in Freddy's Dead.

    I knew she looked familiar...

She's usually the best thing about every movie she's in.

According to DVDCompare, movie duration differs a lot from each release:
    http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=7555

The german one is fully uncut? Or does it include maybe more scenes but necessarily all those found in the other releases? How much material was used and cut?

Also, was this movie made for TV? Ratio is 1.33:1 for those releases, don't see any widescreen there.

It´s a theatrical movie, and those DVD editions are cropped, and not open matte as I first thought, compared to the HD version that is in proper widescreen.

    Screens from the 720p rip

According to schnittberichte.com the US DVD contains the Theatrical R-Rated version with a few minutes of extra footage from the Extended version. The US Laserdisc release is based on the Extended version, but still missing footage. It's still longer than the "Expanded Theatrical" US DVD version. The US VHS version contains the complete uncut Extended version.
The German DVD also contains the complete uncut Extended version, plus the shorter (Original) Theatrical version, the one that runs shorter than the "Expanded Theatrical" US DVD version.

I hope I got that right

Close to what this site says as well. Although from this one, it looks like a project waiting to happen and no full version exists as all have a little something or miss a little something from the other versions.

Thanks for these details!! I hope a very long version appears in a near future. Or a release featuring the many versions thru seamless branching or something like that.

I guess someone said that LionsGate owns the rights to this movie? Maybe now that they're releasing some horror flicks, they could include this one!
