Good artwork, though for those who are uninitiated that cover makes it look like a killer sea monster flick.

Check the french poster of the film
"UN GRAND FILM DE MARIO BAVA".
Not a re-issue poster. The original poster.
Gotta love'em. They were never too late to realise greatness in cinema.

    Pretty cool release!

In some shots I think the AB looks better from a color vibrancy perspective (hanging old lady and chick screaming with trees overhead), but in others it looks dark and muddy.

I'm on the fence - any reason to wait or assume there will be a Blue Underground release?

Don´t know if there will be a Blue Underground release.
I believe this title is with Anchor Bay.

What you gain from Arrow is the English and Italian versions of the movie so this has to be a definitive release until now.

Also, the extras lok very cool.

I dig the new image of the movie.

I agree. The colors are very deep and vibrant in the AB screenshots. The new UK Arrow transfer is lighter with more detail, but it looks like all the colors have been drained out.

I'm not a huge fan of the film but it has been several years since I've seen it. Maybe I'll pick it up if it gets a blu release here.

    Nice...
However, I just picked up the Bava Boxset Volume 2 with eight films, including Bay of Blood, for LESS than this one release. Not sure that its worth a double-dip.

Many of BU titles (most of their earlier titles even) WERE with Anchor Bay.
So the question is, does Anchor Bay still have the right or are the turning over soon?

I know, I meant that I don't remember a killer octopuss in the movie. Although with 3 other artworks to chose from, I can't complain too much.
