I have yet to see it in any store anywhere....dvdempire was out of stock on it...deepdiscount did not have it at all...I finally gave up and ordered it from amazon...a lot of websites (like best buy) have it under the Italian title.

I ordered it from Overstock. First they cancelled my order because it wasn't in stock, then I reordered it, and they sent it in a flimsy envelope with no protection. The cardboard sleeve was beat up and the amaray case cracked. I am having problems getting it returned and thinking I will never deal with Overstock again. These online companies really show their true colors when it comes to returns. I have had the best luck with Amazon.

I watched this last night. I watched the uncut version. Good little giallo film, except the title is stupid, since it only refers to one reference in the whole film and has no significance, and can someone explain that scene with the cut open dogs?? What was that about?

I will wait for a better release.
There are rumors that there's a better (French) print available somewhere.
And Media Blasters have stated if they could get their hands on better materials they would rerelease it.
Also the German company X-NK (X-Rated Kult) have their minds set for that misterious French print too...
I can wait. Can only spend my money once...

Just watched this today and enjoyed it. What's the scope with the one disc edition. does it only include the cut version?

Without going into any details, I had an email confirming this rumor (from the person who knows where this print is at). However, apparently the info was offered to SS, and they weren't interested.

That's just the old coverart for the SS disc before we knew it would be a double disc. There were some other variations around.

Stupid move, but my guess is it has something to do with money...
Anyway the movie will probably be released again somewhere so I'll wait for that...

I still have yet to pick this bad boy up. Not thrilled about the"two different versions" format, but I'll still be getting this as a B-day gift in June.

I'm still convinced there's a better version somewhere.

Sure there is a better version out there, but the question is if someone will bother to release it when Shriek Show already have done it...

And there´s of course a matter of money i suppose, i don´t think they will get it for free.

I just watched the uncut Italian version tonight, great flick. I looked at the Schizoid cut and the image quality is just so much better. It could be a lot different for all I know, but I assume that there's just gore and nudity taken out and if this is the case, I can't figure out why Shriek Show wouldn't have just edited the uncut full frame scenes into the much better looking widescreen version. Sure, we have both versions, but the quality is barely above Brentwood (whether they could have found a better version or not, I don't know) on the cut that everyone wants to see.

Anyone have any idea why this was not done?

Probably already been discussed in this 11 page thread.Or else in one of the other Lizard threads.
I don't know why they didn't do it but since they had a very good (but cut) print they just didn't want to spoil it.
I have nothing against what they did:A cut and uncut version.Doesn't mind me much if one looks muddy.But...both in the correct Aspect Ratios thank you very much![IMG]

Needless to say:I still haven't picked it up yet!:nervous:
There are enough movies out there that ARE worth my money at the moment.
    And more upcoming![IMG]
And who knows what the future will bring? There's always region 2!:D
