"Imdb is reporting that "A Nightmare on Elm Street" producer Jopseph Wolf has died at 78. I found an LA Times paid obit, but it makes no mention of his film career:

    Wolf, Joseph (78)
Of Los Angeles, passed away Sept. 23, 2005. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn; daughter, Karen Wolf; and son, David (Susan) Wolf. Devoted grandfather to Brandon and Adam Wolf; brother of Jean (William) Schulman of New York. Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m., Hillside Memorial Park (800) 576-1994. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Southern California or to a charity of your choice.
Published in the Los Angeles Times from 9/25/2005 - 9/26/2005."

He also produced, in one capacity or another - among others - "Blood Beach", and "Fade to Black".

All 7? How about I just watch up to part 4 and we call it even? I don't think even Wolf would want to watch part 7 again..........

I hope that this is another same-name mix-up (Louise Fletcher, anyone?), but just in case:

    Rest In Peace, Joey :(

Sad news...He was responsible for a lot of 80's horror product...Usually a sign of a creative spirit...
