Is Boris Karloff's voice in the English version? I've only seen the Italian version. I assumed they didn't even bothering recording the audio on set as most Italian productions didn't, but he could have dubbed it anyways for English releases.

Yep, it is actually his voice in the English version. It might be ADR however, I can't really recall now how well it synched up to lip movement. It wasn't too bad if it was though.

I have not gotten a single Bava release because I'd heard AB were going to do this.

SO are these going to be the definite verison of all these films?

The one I ask about mainly is Black Sunday, because so many editions have been released for this film. So far how does this edition compare with all the other releases?

I know its only early specs, but from an early look, how is it looking?

Are AB going to do Blood and black Lace as well?

I know that the recent R1 edition has been horrendous. Has been a definite edition been released yet, or has it still yet to come?

Oh god I HOPE Anchor Bay (or someone) will re-do Blood and Black Lace. That out-of-synch, terrible video quality DVD I have of it just breaks my heart every time I think about it

Hey you guys, the main difference between AB's KBK and Dark Sky's release (apart from the commentary) is that the AB includes Italian audio and subs. The Dark Sky release doesn't.
So this means that for the full "Kill Baby Kill experience" you need both.
Strange no one noticed it before.

Could well be they used different transfers also.
DS used the German Anolis DVD as source (I read, not sure though)

I'll buy both but I'll wait a while since I have more stuff coming already.

So I guess this means the Bava box-set films will not be available separate?? At least the box is cheap ...

And can someone tell me anything about this "Knives of the Avenger" film? I don't know anything about it ...

Odd they are releasing RABID DOGS separately...you'd think they'd hold out for Volume 2. Cool artwork though, looks along the same lines as the Jorodowsky set.

So we WILL be able to hear Boris Karloff's voice on this issue of BLACK SABBATH(as well as the Italian dub )?

OK,there just had to be something wrong with this box.It was all just too good to be true:
    http://videowatchdog.blogspot.com/2007/02/and-now-bad-news.html

So,for those people who got the Image discs there's nothing really new in this set I guess. And KBK can be bought seperately soon.
I will buy this set but not soon.I'll wait for some critical reviews first.

I wonder how many times they will "change the specs" before it's released.

Hmm, I'll wait for an official word before I start getting upset over the new specs of this set.
