That was from an email between Dolph (above) and myself. Welcome to the boards, good sir!
This is up to $26.99 for the Blu and $19.95 for the standard DVD on Amazon.
Barnes and Noble is selling it too for $25.64 Blu and $17.09 standard. This may be where my $20 'Groupon' gets used
It's cheaper here:
And DVDPacific is even cheaper than that:
Nice sleuthin' Crystal!
You're a legend. I've been looking to pick this up cheep. I just put in an order at DVDPacific.
Which version are you buying?
I'm getting the Bluray...which thinking now, I'm hoping is region free.
I can't believe your spending your hard earned money on this piece of shit. This movie is like eating dieherria flavored potato chips dude. I still think it's way overpriced deal or no deal it's [censored censored] you dig?
I'm only buying because being a collectors item, it may be worth more than what I payed for it a few years from now.
I doubt this will ever become a collectors item. Remember this is limited to 20,000++++ copies lol! :bs:
True. Well I still have time to cancel my order if I decide I don't want it.
I'm on the fence about getting it. Borders has it for $25.99, plus 40% off coupon BLW6742R (exp 3/7/2011) bringing it to $15.59.
Should I do it?
That's close to the best deal yet - $18.57 shipped. DVD Pacific is $20.10 shipped. Are you getting free shipping too from Borders?
With the "Groupon" at Barnes and Noble it's $17.18 out of pocket, but I may save that for Dorm that Dripped Blood.
I'm definitely getting this flick one way or the other. It's just gonna eat away at me until I pull the trigger. I know there's quite a few copies to be sold, but I have this feeling it will disappear eventually being such an obscure flick.
My last order from Borders last month was a nightmare. First my Borders Rewards (free from a Survey website) disappeared when an order didn't go through in the end properly. This resulted in several emails and several phone calls to eventually get it corrected. And even getting their customer service to understand English is a major headache.
And then when the DVD finally arrived it was clearly "repackaged" and arrived in terrible condition. I've bought ex-rental discs that looked better.
It was basically free, so I simply wiped my hands of them. I certainly didn't want to spend another hour on the phone talking to someone in India. I can see why Borders are in bankruptcy. I wouldn't even count on them getting many items in stock in the future.
Well now you see why they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
If you have a Borders store in your area that you know for sure is staying open (I know a few of them are closing down), you can bypass the shipping fee by using the "ship to store" option.
With their previous 40% off coupons, I pre-ordered Embodiment Of Evil and Dorm That Dripped Blood for in-store pick-up. After sales tax, they came to $15.25 each.
I will probably do the same for Alien 2 if I decide to order it.
Ah, I see. The Borders right near me is shutting down, but the one by my NH house is still rolling so maybe I'll just get them shipped there (Dorm and Alien 2). Looks oike to get the coupon to work you have to do two separate orders.
If you are using the coupon more than once, you might have to set up separate accounts. I believe the coupon is for one item, and can only be used once per account.
They had two 40% off coupons about a month or so ago, which I used on Embodiment and Dorm. I'm still trying to decide what to use this one on (if I use it at all). I'm debating between Alien 2 and Inferno on blu-ray.
I caved and went with Alien 2. It came to $16.53 total.
I have a taste for bad movies, but this one looks bad even for me. But I know curiosity will eventually get the better of me, and I will end up buying it at some point anyway. So why fight the inevitable?
Ha - yeah, I'm gonna do it too. I might have a buddy just grab it for me that actually lives near the store when it comes in. You'll be happy with the gore and dark setting, but there's other aspects (like the sound effects/music if I recall correctly) that are just like wtf?
