Haha, all I've seen from that set is part 2 so I'm in a similar situation.
So it was re-edited for a PG-13 rating and then possibly scrapped? Bizarre.
hope we get some official explanation as to why? I just seen a tv spot for it on wwe raw last night!
This looks generic as all get-out, but I have to say the constant delays are kind of making me want to see it. Just look at the trend: All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, Trick 'r Treat, You're Next, Kristy, The Green Inferno, The Cabin In The Woods, etc. If the studio thinks it sucks and doesn't know what to do with it, that generally means it's something worth checking out.
All these delays...
They should just release it directly to VOD and Blu-Ray.
I'm just worried that they will put it on a shelf, and never release it.
It's been pushed back (again!) to January 2017. What's that?, about three years of delays? !! May as well just release it to VOD and BD at this point.
What the hell? Another delay; really? I thought the screen tests went well and they just wanted to change the ending...
We were told the first delay was due to waiting for the actors to become available for re-shooting the ending. Now for some reason they've cut it down to PG-13 plus delayed it again? I don't get it. It seemed fine and ready to go ages ago. The more news that comes from this the worse it seems to get.
Do these fuckers know what they are doing! It appears not, what a fucking embarrassing mess!
Saw the trailer with the April release date last night while watching Bates Motel, it looked tepid and derivative to say the least and with a PG-13 rating no less.
My curiosity is piqued about the delay, but can't say I'm too excited about this as it stands.
Deadpool set the precedent for R rated superhero movies, can't we go back to having horror films with hard R ratings?
I'm pretty sure if Amityville II: The Possession was released today it would score an R.
I watched Amityville 3-D once and quickly sold it.
The bonus disc with the two documentaries is pretty compelling viewing.
Not a fan of 3-D either. The seconds my favorite and I don't think the original is too bad though it's been a very long time since I've watched it. Will have to check that documentary out.
Amityville 3D is pretty dull. Nothing much of interest happens in it.
Yeah it's a shame. A lot of the DTV sequels are more interesting than that one.
It's a shame because it could've been entertaining cheese. Instead it was like watching paint dry.
i really wish they would of just released Amityville awakening on dvd/blu-ray instead of waiting almost a year for another theatrical release I hope it will change back to R rating cut I really wanna know why the last minute delay as I had seen a tv spot last night and earlier today as well with it's pg-13 rating I really wish this is just an April Fools Day joke or something
The Weinsteins need to stay away from the genre. They love to screw over genre films over and over and over again.
It still shocks me that they were involved with The Burning.
Yes, but when they were involved in The Burning they were pretty new to the game without the power to do what they do now.You are right, they do need to stay away from the horror and sci fi genre as they have no respect for it whatsoever.
I think it is important to understand your core audience when producing and distributing these films and the Weinsteins either do not or just do not care.
This series ended for me after part 3.
