Howdy to all who stopped by to read this.
I am opening an old subject of Killer Car movies since my almost 7 year old son really got into the genre. And, of course, I like me a good Killer Car movie as well.
I am trying to scope out some lesser known (or not) killer car movies which are not listed below. These are the movies we have already watched:
    The Car (1977)
    Steven Spielberg's Duel (1971)
    Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive
    Stephen King's Trucks
    Stephen King's Christine
Wheels of Terror (That horrible Dodge Charger low budget flick which my son actually liked a lot)
    Black Cadillac with Randy Quaid

I know there are other Killer Car movies, I am really interested to see which ones others on here like. We are really looking for movies where a car or cars get the focus in the movie. There are movies like 'Dead End' that have a car in the story line, but the focus is mainly on other things.

The Wraith, Killdozer and The Hearse come to mind. There's also a pretty cool killer car segment in the anthology Nightmares.

Some of these might not necessarily fit the exact bill you're looking for, but they have killers in a car.

    Super Hybrid
    The Car: Road to Revenge
The Twilight Zone episode "You Drive"
    Blood Car
    The Cars That Ate Paris
    Death Proof
    Joyride
    The Hitcher
    The Hitcher 2

Deathrace 2000 features a race where extra points are earned for running over pedestrians. Similarly Toxic Avenger had the scene where the boy on the bicycle is run over for points.

Ferat Vampire features a car that runs on blood rather than gas.

Here is a short film that pays homage to Christine titled Vicki.

I remember enjoying Road Kill (aka Road Train), the Australian killer truck movie from 2010.

I'm reminded of the Seinfeld episode where the valet guy leaves permanent B.O in Jerry's car

    "It can't be destroyed ....This......THING!"

Now you're reminding me of an episode of That 70s Show where Hyde hides cheese under the seat of Forman's car.

Wow, quite a few refreshing titles. Thanks to everyone who replied. I checked out the trailer for "Blood Car" - looks like a pretty insane flick, not sure if totally appropriate for a 7 year old, but I will check this one out.

Somehow I missed the part where he was only 7. Not horror, but do you think he would also get into the Herbie movies?

The Herbie films represent about 50% of the films I watched before the age of 10.

There's a TV movie called Night Terror (aka Night Drive) with Valerie Harper that's not really a killer car but along the lines of Joyride with a woman being chased along the freeway at night after she witnesses a crime. Maybe add it to the list when you've exhausted all the others.

At his tender age, his focus on movies is very specific and sort of goes in phases. His general preferred genre is horror with monsters, the killer car theme has become a great interest since he really likes cars....which is pretty normal for a boy of his age.
When we sit down to watch a movie together with Mom, he has a hard time agreeing to watch a non-horror movie. He will probably dig Herbie movies a little later on.

I would watch this, but I refrain from showing movies that focus on tendencies for human, non supernatural violence to my boy, at least for now.
