Xploited now carries a R0 NTSC disc of this film HERE

Just curious about some opinions on this one? I've been interested in checking this out, but I am NOT usually a fan of German splatter.

How's the gore? .. has anyone checked out this disc?

I have seen this director's other film... Nikos the Impaler... and that movie is shit! Impaler is shot on video stuff... the gore is bloody but it looks like high school stuff, IMO. This was made before Impaler so put it together...

    i DLed it awhile ago,
bloodman is right, i haven't bothered watching it because i have tons of other movies that don't look like camcorder-quality and don't have the number "2000" in their title

Well, I think this one rocks, IMO. It's very brutal, and above all other things, it tops the original by a mile. The original's pacing was slow as dirt, not so here... Plus the fetus scene is a treasure on this one.

Jeff, you already know my opinion on it, but there you have it.

You can get it a little cheaper from Schnaas' homepage:

    http://www.anthroproject.de/

It's pretty much the standard 80's slasher, but instead of waiting around for some puny gore the payoffs are damn worth it. I was suprised at how brutal some scenes were, then I laughed like hell when it was all done. I enjoyed it a lot.

EDIT: Nikos is only $9 from Schnaas' site, I haven't had a chance to see that one yet but Xploited wants $24.95.

Argh, thanks for the tip D-udo, but I actually ended up buying this awhile back.

It's not nearly as bad as I expected and was fairly brutal which adds some enjoyment for me. As usual with these films though, it was brought way down by how awful the gore looked, minus some gut ripping.

Adrian, if you haven't picked up Nikos yet, I'd skip it. I bought it when it first came to DVD and traded it (I think to MCChrist) almost immediatly. It had alot of really bad jokes/humor and the gore was horrendous. I just couldn't enjoy it.

Thanks for the warning Jeff, but I already checked Nikos out. The only reason I haven't gotten rid of the DVD is because I might want to check the commentery out someday. Schnaas rocks when he doesn't try so hard. He put a bunch shitty characters and ideas above gore and it sucked bad.

I've always been curious about this one. Doesn't mean I'm going to buy it, since it's supposedly awful. But curious nonetheless...
