Mill Creek is a small budget company, and it seems they took the easy route, and just re-released previously released BCI titles (Drive-In Cult Classics boxes, the new He-Man series etc), and other repackaged titles.

Wasn't there a Shriek Show version of Horror High, which had some playback problems?

And I believe all their release have been heavily compressed and missing a lot of the extras from the earlier BCI releases. They have been fitting all their old cartoons on half the amount of discs and selling them cheap.

Yes, but I basically meant the current licensing of many of the Crown movies, not the actual disc quality.

Nope, you're thinking of Hell High.

For anyone who pre-ordered Slithis from amazon.ca... it's gone from "pre-order" to "not in stock. will ship when available." to "currently unavailable". For whatever reason, it seems to take amazon.ca a week or two to get Code Red titles.

That's no new news. Haha, Amazon always delays CR titles. :(

Must just be Amazon.ca. My copy of Slithis shipped from Amazon.com on the 31st.

It's still in stock at Amazon.com as well.

DVD Aficionado has a complete list of Code Red DVDs... in the far right column it specifies status, including OOP.

I got an email saying that my order should arrive June 3 or 4. Haven't heard otherwise so I'm going to hope it arrives in a timely fashion.

Damn, got the dreaded e-mail from amazon.ca saying "We're still trying to obtain the following item you ordered". Now I have to play the waiting game. :(

I did too. Amazon.ca always gets Code Red titles in stock eventually.. but I agree, the waiting game sucks.

I got my copy of Slithis yesterday. So far, the film isn't half bad. The print looks fine--obviously it's not a ground-up remaster--and the trailers included are a kick.

SLITHIS is out???? Awesome! Outta the blue, that was. I'm gettin' it. Amazon seems to be the only seller, right?
