I've only seen the trailer, but I want this in my collection as well. It's probably frowned upon, but I find the cannibal subgenre fascinating. They are often extremely visceral movies, and Cannibal Holocaust I consider an artistic masterpiece, however distasteful its tactics. Obviously, I am uncomfortable with the animal stuff, but at the same time, I feel it would be dishonest to extract it from the movies - this is the way the movies were presented when they were shown theatrically. I'm glad they don't make them like that anymore. But yeah, bring on Mountain of the Cannibal God - and Last Cannibal World!
I've seen the film, I'm not a fan, in fact I'm not a fan of the Cannibal genre, I will watch Amazonia when 88 films release it but that's it. But if I had not seen this and I saw that sleeve on the shelf, even knowing the chances of me enjoying it were slim to none, that sleeve would make me stump the cash.
I find the cannibal subgenre fascinating as well, but find they don't have replay value. Aside from Green Inferno which is just super easy to watch, I don't think I've ever watched a cannibal film twice, even though I own all the major ones. They're just a little too gross for me. I'm always open to ones I haven't seen though, I just need to mentally prepare myself to be grossed out first.
I enjoy Amazonia: The Catherine Miles Story and have no reservations about revisiting it. There is only one animal scene, and it looks like unstaged stock footage. I’m okay with that. I also keep coming back to Cannibal Holocaust, because, like I’ve said before, it is a very good movie. From a narrative perspective, it is easily the most ambitious of all the cannibal movies I have seen. Cannibal Ferox is no doubt the most upsetting for me.
I wonder if Diabolik will carry this as I really need the Code Red release but being in the UK I'm sure it'll be almost impossible for me to order.

I received the Code Red release of Offerings in the mail a few days ago. Haven't watched it yet, but this review is not promising. http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Offerings-Blu-ray/197891/#Review
I like it. It's pretty bad even for a late-80's slasher, but still fun cheese. It's practically a Halloween clone...
I enjoy Offerings for what it is. It's in my wide rotation. Definitely better than Trick Or Treats - I tried watching that for a second time recently. I just can't sit through that poop again.
What he said.....100% I watched for the first time last summer....... I had a couple of beers and I had a lot of fun with it. Gonna buy it soon and look forward to revisiting.
Mondo Digital reviews the Mama's Dirty Girls/Supervan/Piranha, Piranha triple feature: http://mondo-digital.com/supervan.html
There's supposedly a new Dark Force announcement coming tonight. Clues are released 1989 - 1991 and stars a big genre actor.
Mirror Mirror is a favorite of mine, but I wish it were in safer hands like Vinegar Syndrome or Arrow. Hopefully they'll knock it out of the park.
