This is what's known as "contempt for your customers".
Dark Force just announced Mirror, Mirror 2.

Review + Comparison with the 88 Films Blu-ray
Probably gonna pick up the Code Red version of The Boneyard.
I’ve had it on preorder for a while. I really love this movie.
Glad to hear. I pre ordered the code red...... blind buy. I remember the VHS cover as a little guy in the video store but I don't ever recall seeing it. Looks all kinds of awesome

So the reason why Bill left Ronin? He revealed in a Facebook live chat that it was because he was pissed off at their 50% off sale. He got pissed at Screen Archives in the past for selling some stock on sale also.
Charge full price and he complains that a title only sells 167 COPIES. Put 'em on sale at reasonable prices, and most of 'em sell out. I mean WTF? Why do so many Code Red titles show up at Hamilton Books then? He just "dumps" the stock there as a closeout.
The full interview can be viewed here ...if you actually want to sit through almost 90 minutes of an interview with a guy dressed up as a banana that is.
Here's an older shorter Interview with him not in the banana.
Don't think I could do 90 minutes. I did watch that little video of him going to the post office dressed as a banana and dropping everyone's packages on the floor. So when your blu-ray arrives with a broken case or rattling disc... there you go.
I guess it was better "live" as you could ask questions directly on there. I don't think I could have even sat through that for close to 90 minutes though.[/QUOTE]
Wouldn't Ronin just pay Bill agreed upon wholesale prices for his titles regardless of what they sell them for? If that's the case, it's asinine to get so angry & end the business relationship over periodic sales.
See the video of his apartment, or so it looks like it could be? People wonder why it take months to get orders delivered. There's the answer.
The guy's fucked. Most of his decisions and rants make no sense. He never sounds passionate about what he does or what he's releasing. He needs to pack up shop and let better labels handle these films. Biggest cry baby in the industry, it's nuts.
I wonder what will become of Ronin now. Can they survive stocking only Scorpion titles? It's a shame they can't sell Code Red anymore since they were so reliable as far as shipping. Although Dark Force is literally down the street from me and I've never waited more than a day for an order.
Primal Scream is now available from Dark Force: http://darkforcedvd.bigcartel.com/product/primal-scream-blu-ray-dark-force
I saw it go up yesterday, but I'm definitely going to wait to hear some comments/reviews first given Dark Force's spotty track record thus far.
Great review My Indy record store got this in gonna pick it up tomorrow. Anyone get the code red disc yet how is it?
Delivered today, not sure when I’ll get to give it a spin.
Stopped supporting this asshole years ago.
Thankfully he mostly releases thrash that I don't want, and the few good ones, usually get a euro release down the line from better labels.
If people stopped buying his releases, he would be forced to shut down.
I'm the same. Don't care for most of what he releases and the good ones, as you say, end up getting released down the line by better labels and usually look better too.
I think the only Code Red titles I have now are the ones released in conjunction with other labels.
