    I don't know if it's "hidden" but it's definitely a gem.

it is out of print, but actually only just within the last few months. criterion announced a few months back (in january maybe?) that about 20 of their titles were being lost to lions gate, and one of them was Peeping Tom. It went OOP at the very end of March, which may explain why you can still purchase it - many retailers may not have sold out of their stock yet. it is a great film, and a great dvd, and definitely worth picking up.

DeathDream. Even though it's on dvd it still doesn't seem to get the praise it deserves.

Terror - it's on a double feature disc with an unfortunately butchered Satan's Slave.

    Satan's Blood

    Innocents from Hell

Curtains was mentioned here quite a bit. I've seen the trailer and it looks really good. I'm close to breaking down and just getting a bootleg online.

The Nightmare Never Ends (a.k.a. Cataclysm) starring Cameron Mitchell and Richard Moll.

Various clips from this movie are shown in Night Train to Terror...which was basically just a hodgepodge of other movie scenes edited together. Without seeing the entire movie, it makes little sense...and not entirely even then.

    What about Deranged (1974)?

It's a great film, and I probably would have never watched it if they hadn't paired it on DVD with Motel Hell.

The original version Long Weekend (1978) is a hidden gem as well.

I was going to say this but didn't think it was too unknown but it really is a great movie. It's a shame the dvd is cut up though.

How about Graveyard Disturbance? Granted it's not a good film in that it's terribly made but it's so bad it's hysterical and entertaining.

It's not exactly horror, but I s'ppose the subject matter is close enough:
    Planet of Dinosaurs (1978)
Poorly acted but acceptably scripted/directed with some of the greatest stop motion ever to grace the screen. It sets out looking like a cheapo Planet of the Apes rip off but quickly becomes little more than a dinosaur slasher.
This is, IMHO, one of the most FUN sci-fi movies I've ever seen.

I'm confused, by dinosaur slasher do you mean dinosaurs getting killed or a dinosaur killer killing teenage cavegirls (I assume).

Don't know if it's been mentioned or even qualifies as 'hidden', but I'm sure a few people have not heard of The Beast Must Die!-I always loved that one.

Someone mentioned "Parents" in this thread, but I can't remember who. I watched this last night and was very pleasantly surprised!! What an original, weird little film this is. How come we never heard anything ever again from Bryan Madorsky?? He was fantastic!! Far superior to most other child actors of that era ... and this one. I was also surprised to find out this was directed by Bob Balaban, whom I only knew as an actor up until now.

Very much recommended and a very big thank you to whoever mentioned it here!

Parents is a wonderful film, really.

I vote for the BLACK ROOM (1984)
