    Hey everyone,

I have a chance to buy some laserdiscs and have a list of what the person has....anyone feel like looking these over and letting me know if there's something here worth getting that will probably never be on DVD, Blu or digital....or has something on the disc that's exclusive only to that laserdisc and not brought over to one of the other formats?

I have some LD but I don't know much about them in details.

    Thanks!
    Jason

Some of the really old movies on that list, maybe. I dunno, I'm not enough of a collector of those old movies.

Something I didn't see on the list that is currently still exclusive to LD is the Captain Supermarket edit of "Army of Darkness" (Japanese laserdisc). It features footage from the extended version but has the US ending.

Is this still true after the Scream Factory release of the Blu-Ray?

I believe so. I don't have the BD yet but from what I gather, the Capt Supermarket is the international version but has the US ending, whereas the true international print has the apocalyptic ending.

Is it usually this pricey? Seems a bit steep for something that is otherwise readily available 8000 ways (albeit not with this cut).

That is definitely very cool looking but right now I'm more about getting things that offer something different for me to watch. The cool looking will have to come later. As mentioned in another thread I would love to have a red disc Evil Dead 2 framed on my wall.
