These are up on amazon, but i can't find anything on the releases online. anybody know about these?
They're region 1, and the studio is called HD Cinema Classics, who i've never heard of.

I saw them on Amazon, but they sound like cheap budget releases. $15.99 retail for a Blu-ray and DVD?

I wouldn't doubt if it's just upconverted stuff. They say "Digitally Remastered" which means next to nothing. I've bought $1 DVD's before that said that and looked like a 10th generation VHS tape.

Interesting....I wonder if they are truly HD or just upconverts. I'm expecting the latter, but it'd be great if it was the former! I do dig the artwork though. I'll anxiously await further word on these titles...

yeah, i liked the covers too. it would be a shame if they're just budget releases.

looks like the same company is doing a release of Orson Welles' The Stranger:

The more of these I find, the more likely it seems that they'll just be junk copies of public domain films. after all, i don't think somebody could be doing legitimate releases of these without getting some kind of recognition. its a shame too, because whoever released these clearly had the right idea when it came to cover art.

EDIT: whoa, hold it a minute...will this be the first film directed by Welles to make it to blu ray? crazy...

A lot of these films you can find decent enough HD versions available to download on websites like archive.org. They had a sweet one of Night of the Living Dead that looks and sounds amazing on my 1080p 46". I'd try and find those and hold off until some reviews of these or blu's from reputable companies come around.

I'm 50/50 on these. I'm keeping my expectations in check, but I'm remaining hopeful. For their release of POOR PRETTY EDDIE, they are using a 35mm print from a film collector. And I believe they're the company releasing CARNIVAL MAGIC from Al Adamson too.

I saw an interview with Roger Corman in which he said the original negative of DEMENTIA 13 was lost.As to THE TERROR,while I have seen some widescreen versions available I have never seen a really clean copy of it.Has anybody on the boards ?

If you are in the Durham North Carolina area,DEMENTIA 13 will screen on a double bill with the original CAT PEOPLE in a couple months at the great Carolina Theater. These are 35mm prints. They usually have drawings and giveaways there,it's a great place to go for retro horror double features and it's only $8.00 for two films !

    I LOVE those covers :)
Finally a label that isn´t afraid to use the original poster art instead of creating something horrible in photoshop.

I really hope these ARE from 35mm prints.
Though I don´t expect the quality of the prints to be in pristine quality.

The Terror definitely sounds like a must have. I'll probably pick up Dementia too.
