It is indeed a great read. I'm only a chapter in but it's clearly a very well written volume. Photos are rather superb, too.

From what I read on the Newsletter, there will be another printing, but I probably won't have the same cover sleeve, I bet, and I have a feeling that it might be Paperback. I am so glad I got my copy when I did.

I just looked on Amazon.com, and someone is selling a 1st printing for $295.95. I bet someone would be willing to pay that price, but not me. I just lucked out a got a copy just barely a month ago.

I was surprise-gifted with this for Christmas, and was very surprised at the quality of this edition! Very entertaining read (from what I have skimmed so far) and HUGE! There are coffee table books...and then you have books like this one, where you just add four legs to it and it becomes a coffee table itself. :D

    Highly recommended!

And, if my Secret Santa is reading this post, Thanks Again! :) ;) :)

My family just held their Xmas get together today and I was shocked to open this sucker up. Seeing how difficult it was for some of you to get a copy, I had all but given up. Thanks brother!

Cool, that way the paperback will cost a lot less :)

I sure hope that the cardboard that makes it hardcover is worth it ;)

Not to be an asshole of course :p ;)

This book, I would only recommend Hardcover. Just the amount of pages in the book, and Paperback, I think won't hold up as well, and it won't get the cool Jacket that goes over the Hardcover for the Paperback version, and in the long run, the 1st Printing will be worth more than other printings.

I have to say that at first glance [just got it today] that this book is actually pretty high quality. They could have easily gone the cheap route with this kind of thing but it looks like they didn't cut too many corners here. Quality paper, binding, etc. I'm looking forward to reading it.

Sidebar: Evidentally, my brother had to special order it from the local bookstore [it was my xmas gift]. According to him, when he picked it up, the lady behind the counter made a comment like "Really? Is this it? You're not really going to read this, right?" -- as if it was so much below her.

    I love people like that...

You weren't kidding were you? This book is much bigger and better quality than I expected. I just got mine today, and it took me awhile to guess what was in the box. It thought it was far too heavy to be the book. My bad. It's great to see the movies get this kind of attention.

Now, to get to reading this baby....

My excitement grows with your comments. I've had this on order since November, and I'm expected to get it along with a bunch of DVD's around the first of next month. Can't wait.

I'll pick this up on the second print. Ain't no way I'm paying inflated Amazon or eBay prices for something that will get a second print.
