I liked them both.....the original was better of course....

I just wondered what others thought....

I thought the TV remake was awful though.....

    Anyone?

Only saw the original. It scared me as a kid. Doubt I'll ever need to watch it again as I saw a few times growing up. No desire anymore. But great film for those who have not seen it yet.

Movies? You mean movie, because the other two don't exist:banana:

Ok, ok... The Rage was fun as a cheesy 90's movie, but the remake sucked ass. The original was actually good as was the novel.

Only seen the original. Liked it, but don't think it's as great as most on here do. Even though it is well made in every way, it just doesn't do much for me.

Carrie is one of the most brilliant horror films ever made. I don't even need to explain why.

The original is a classic,a great style piece by DePalma and a wonderful performance by Spacek.THE RAGE is pretty awful, though I actually thought the main actress showed some real talent, the material just wasn't there.Never saw the remake, just couldn't make myself do it,though I like Angela Bettis.

Ditto. Nobody does it like De Palma. No matter how many times I see this, EVERY single time I'm hoping Amy Irving gets to the stage in time. And every time the bucket drops, I feel sick to my stomach.

Carrie is one of the better Stephen King adoptions to date. The film was a good shocker for a mid 70's film. It still holds up well today in my opinion. Great direction from DePalma, and performance from Spacek. A solid "period" :D piece!

Some like the sequel. I was watching a bit of it the other day, and I found it lacking severely. The original is one of my favorite films.

Definitely. No matter how many times I watch Carrie, I never want the film to end the way it does. Never.

the original Carrie was awesome. It's a definite classic. I think that's why the remakes and stuff all seemd so lame in comparison. You just usually can't redo a classic. It's like it was done right the first time so don't try to mess with it.

I saw the sequel on television... It reminded me of 10 Things I Hate About You and Devil in the Flesh (both of which are vastly superior), only with "some" scenes of horror in it. The party massacre scene reminded me of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth. So, yeah, some "cool" death scenes and good gore in a couple minutes, but it's not worth sitting through the whole movie to get it.

The remake - see my remake policy. If it's not necessary- if the original movie is an outstanding film- remaking it is an insult to the original film, the horror genre, and anyone with a brain.
