Haven't heard anything about it. Are you talking about the sequel? If it's the original, I'm going to wait for blu-ray at this point.

Universal owes Vlachio a commission. She just made a sale for this new special edition! :)

This looks sweet. I haven't seen psycho in forever, and don't own a copy. Looking at the screen shots in the review though I think I like the look of 1998 version over the legacy series. I would love to see a review of this on here comparing a few versions. ;)

The only thing that will sell me for SURE on this is if the transfer is different on this release than the Masterpiece Collection. (Cuz honestly, a commentary's not gonna sell me on this.) I know Vertigo and Rear Window were slightly improved. The higher the bitrate, the better the DVD looks on an HDTV.

But hey, anybody getting Touch of Evil? I sure as hell am. The set looks cool as hell.

I think i read on DVDBeaver that the image is basically the same as the Masterpiece collection.

I already have the Masterpiece collection so a commentary isn't going to be enough for me to upgrade.

I'm just going to buy the new version of Rear Window. I don't plan on buying Psycho or Vertigo.

I hope to interpret that statement as you already own Vertigo.

Good, not that it matters but that is one of my favorite movies. Probably top 3 for me. Flawless.

    That's easy,

#1 Dawn Of the Dead (1978)

    #2 Vertigo

    #3 Robocop

    What now?

I too will wait for the Blu-Ray. All that stuff on this upcoming release sounds great and I would hope it would carry over.

    Yeah that's what I'm thinking.

Oh and Vlachio, which DVD of Vertigo do you own? The newer (Masterpiece Collection) release (and this one as well) has FAR superior image quality than the original "Collector's Edition" disc originall released by Universal. And upgrade might be of great benefit. :)

Will definitely pick all three up, even though I own the previous collector's editions.
