Yep, I'll check it out. Can't be any worse than the original Halloween II.

Absolutely. I loved Rob Zombie's revisioning of Halloween. I still like Carpenter's original better, but I am still very shocked at the hate for Zombie on this board. I for one am very excited and I'm looking forward to it. I also disagree with those who hated the "white trash" element of Zombie's remake. His portrayal of these characters was extremely realistic. Coming from a family that has two mental health professionals, I've heard and seen a lot over the years, and what Zombie portrayed was realistic. Not to be misunderstood, I certainly do not want to send a message that those who have mental issues/problems are white trash; to the contrary, but I think Zombie was able to portray a family in his version of Halloween who are commonly referred to as white trash in general. More often than not, some very extreme forms of mental illness go untreated in families that are also rather poor, uneducated or limited in their education and live in a less than acceptable social situations. I thought that Zombie's revisioning of these characters and the more detailed background of Michael's childhood/upbringing revealed why he, at least partially, became the sociopath that he is. Of course, I also believe that there are certainly biological reasons as well. Of course, Michael Myers is fictional, but Zombie, IMO, did a pretty decent job with his version of Halloween.

Not really, the remake was disappointing enough. If it has the same formula as the first one, yuck! I could give a shit less about Michael's life as a whining little child. What's next...his mid-life crisis drama?

Same here. I saw House of 1000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects and both sucked, I was just bored throughout those, it was the same thing, white trash characters that aren't entertaining or cool at all IMO and Halloween looked no diffrent, plus of all the movies to remake, this was the one that needed it the least. So my answer is a solid no as well. Although I like Zombie's music, I've even seen him live and he's a great entertainer and I think he should stick to that.

I am still proud to say that I have seen even a minute of the remake. So the only hope I hold for this new movie is that it will turn a few more people against Zombie.

    Devil's Rejects was a "ball".

While it is very difficult to vomit out anything worse than the first remake, I know "zombie" will manage to do just that.

Unless he goes into the soap opera direction and does "Michael & Michalina":

    That was awesome.

Much like my feelings on the first one, I don't feel strongly one way or the other about the sequel. I mean if I have the chance I'll see it but if not its no big deal.

  13. Me too. By the way, Fangoria.com just posted the first pic, released form the first recently wrapped three days of shooting in downtown Atlanta, Georgia from Zombie's MySpace. And if I wasn't such a lazy fuck that I am, I would have the URL copied & pasted already. Sorry fellas ... ;)

No because even if it's twice as good as the last one it will still be shit. What do you guys think was worse Rob Zombie's, or the one before it where Michael Myers was intimidated by Ebonics?

    Why bother?

I'll be skipping this sequel. As much as I enjoyed House of 1,000 Coprses and The Devil's Rejects, I utterly despised Rob's "vision" of Halloween. Can't think of anything redeeming about it, nor do I want to relive it. Of course this sequel will make plenty of money, but at the same time Zombie will lose further credibility as a director.
