Why don't you just stop reading the thread? This is hilarious. You actually feel compelled to respond to a thread which does not interest you at all, and which you can easily choose to ignore, but you think others are immature?

Inferno is a great surrealist journey from the mind of a European genius. The colors, cinematography and obtuse dream like script transcends the horror genre, if only you let it in.

Oh - and some dude gets eaten by rats - cool!

There he goes again. This is fun. I can keep dwatts posting to this thread forever. It is amazing how many people will post comments to a pointless thread in which they claim to have no interest while ignoring serious threads on a message board which they allegedly joined to post comments about films.

This is getting better all the time. Yet another person posts to the thread which he claims not to like. So, why did he post? It is a mystery of the universe.

You'll probably attack me but I believe that Slinker stated the reason that he read this thread; that is, he thought that there was going to be intelligent insights into the Dario Argento masterpiece, "Inferno".

re: "The film is not for thinking men either. "

I disagree with this. Mainly becuase the more simple minded folk out there would simply switch it off without giving it a chance. With all the weirdness you get in 'arthouse' type films like this, you need to have a brain to tolerate their peculiar ways.

That's the friggin reason why I started this thread. So it's not a matter of me trying to reply to a thread I have no interest in, it's me just telling these guys to fucking stop already. It's getting old. I might as well start a new thread on Inferno and have this one renamed EPKJ vs. whoever.

Inferno is a delight for the senses - senses mixed in ways you could hardly expect - gothic horror, violent death, twisted minds and the supernatural. The mix should not work, but it does. Being associated with Suspiria was a tough thing to overcome, but Inferno delivers.

Oh, and there's an underwater scene that rocks!

I must chime in as well and say that I really loved Inferno. I loved the dreamlike quality of it, the lovely colors and the bit at the end that Bava helped with. The movie had that certain intangible quality that makes me love some films.

I cannot comment on Phenomena yet because I've owned it for way too long and haven't found the right time to watch it. Bad me!

    Blub blub.

I can't believe I just read all 4 pages of this when I could have been doing something productive... but y'know, it has that trainwreck quality I love so much. :nervous: :D
