While the packaging/marketing stated 3 & 4 were Region B locked (since it was supposed to be for their licensing) the House UK Collection Blu-ray set was actually entirely region-free.

Wow, that news flew right over my head. Can't believe I didn't see/read/know that info. Oh, well. Guess the individual releases will be the same?

I wouldn't count on that. I think they knew that the House set would sell out quickly before anyone could intervene. The standard edition will be available for a much longer time. They don't have the rights for 3+4 in the U.S. Offering region free standard editions of those two in the UK would be too risky.

That's not entirely true. House III & House IV are both locked to regions "A" and "B" just like the House & House II discs are ... but if you set a multi-region player to "C" you get an incorrect region screen.

How's the Romero set? I might get it for The Crazies alone not a huge fan of the other 2 films in this set.

I received my Phantasm box set in the mail and watched it. It's an awesome set. Definitely a fine upgrade from my old sphere set from 2005. The included book is really good too. I'm not overly sold on the packaging however. It looks nice, but is kind of impractical. I guess it's because they wanted to include the sphere replica. I would have preferred something like the House box set instead. Oh well, minor quibbles. The overall content is outstanding. I'd recommend it easily.

Arrow’s warehouse is moving so there’s a huge sale (this is probably their biggest one yet - lots of recent titles too) on till Nov 20.

    I picked up:

    Baron Blood
Five Dolls For an August Moon
    Crimes of Passion
    The Zero Boys

There's a lot of titles, but all I believe have been on the sale before and the price is the same as usual.

I had recently ordered the George Romero Between Night & Dawn box set from Deep Discount. The U.S. release comes out tomorrow. Last week, my pre-order was cancelled by Deep Discount. I ended up ordering from Amazon UK & got it for $61.00 with shipping. My order was shipped yesterday. The U.S. release increased in price on Amazon over the last day or two, currently selling for $79.99. Seems like copies are still out there, just be advised of the price at some stores. Looks as though this one is selling well for Arrow.

Do you get to open it early too? I am also keeping my Martin DVD. Pretty sure that Richard Rubinstein (Romero's former business partner in Laurel Entertainment) owns the rights to Martin. Wants very big bucks obviously.

DeepDiscount had a code for 10% off $35 or more about a week ago, so I switched my order for the Romero set over from Amazon. $56.69 shipped.

Shipped Friday and tracking says it should be here tomorrow.

Screen comparisons can be found here for The Exterminator: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=4607&d2=4604&c=1882

I really have no idea how Frankenhooker compares though.

Wow glad I grabbed what I did, I must’ve placed my order within an hour of the sale going live and almost everything is sold out now. Glad I went back and got A Fish Called Wanda, because everything I placed an order for is now gone. It was 25 pages long when the sale went live and this morning it was down to 9.
