It's probably Carrie for the U.K.

But if it were a Prom Night 4 film box set? I would love Arrow forever.

Lol I almost hope it's not Carrie because I'd be super tempted to buy it again. It's probably in my top 3 fav horror films of all-time.

Much as I love Carrie, I too would strongly prefer a Prom Night box set. The original Prom Night is great & have always found Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 very entertaining.

I am content with my Scream Factory release of Carrie.

Suspicious Death is so entertaining, definitely getting that once the price drops down a bit.

Children of the Corn should be arriving today from Amazon. Can't wait to check it out. I know it's definitely one of the lesser King adaptations but I always liked the creepy vibe it has to it (and I also really love Linda Hamilton lol).

Btw those screenshots look great. Just toggled back and forth between the 3 releases and the Arrow has some nicely resolved grain and there's more info in the frame. The other transfers also look very bright in comparison to the darker-looking Arrow. Nicely done.

I definitely do not consider it a lesser adaptation. I really enjoy it!

For comparison purposes, the Scream Factory release breaks down as follows:

    Disc One (Feature Film)
    • NEW 4K Scan Of The Original Negative
    • Theatrical Trailer (1080p; 2:06)
    • Carrie Franchise Trailer Gallery (1080p; 4:12)
    Disc Two (Special Features)
    • Interviews
      • Writing Carrie (1080p; 29:07) features screenwriter Lawrence Cohen.
      • Shooting Carrie (1080p; 15:22) features director of photography Mario Tosi.
      • Cutting Carrie (1080p; 25:09) features editor Paul Hirsch.
      • Casting Carrie (1080p; 16:03) features casting director Harriet B. Helberg.
      • Acting Carrie (1080p; 42:42) is an archival piece features interviews with principal cast and crew.
      • More Acting Carrie (1080p; 20:19) features new interviews with William Katt, Nancy Allen, Betty Buckley, Piper Laurie, Edie McClurg and P.J. Soles.
      • Visualizing Carrie (1080p; 41:33) is another archival piece, this one covering the adaptive process.
      • Bucket of Blood (1080p; 23:53) features composer Pino Donaggio.
    • Horror's Hallowed Grounds (1080p; 11:25) visits some of the film's locations.
    • Carrie, the Musical (1080p; 6:23) is an archival piece on the infamous flop musical.
    • More Carrie
      • TV Spots (1080p; 3:11)
      • Radio Spots (1080p; 1:29)
      • Still Gallery - Rare Behind the Scenes (1080p; 4:54)
      • Still Gallery - Posters and Lobby Cards (1080p; 3:56)
      • Stephen King and the Evolution of Carrie Text Gallery (1080p) features several pages of text arranged into three main categories which document King's work on Carrie.
It looks like the only content being added by Arrow is:

    • Commentary by Lee Gambin, author of Nope, Nothing Wrong Here: The Making of Cujo, and Alexandra Heller-Nicholas, author of Cultographies: Ms. 45 and Devil’s Advocates: Suspiria, recorded exclusively for this release
    • Brand-new visual essay comparing the various versions and adaptations of Carrie across the years
    • Limited edition 60-page booklet featuring new writing on the film by Neil Mitchell, author of Devil’s Advocates: Carrie, and numerous reprints and interviews

It doesn't look like Arrow's release loses anything, but I'm a little curious about their decision to pack everything onto a single Blu-Ray.

That just occurred to me actually. I'm a sucker for commentaries and I really want to hear what's said about Carrie. (The Criterion LD had a great commentary by Laurent Bouzereau which never made it onto any other releases).

Now I'm kind of torn. I might wait and see reviews first. I'm now too concerned about their decision to cram everything onto one disc. Shout's transfer is one of the best they've ever done. It'll be hard to outdo it.

...a little disappointed. Would have loved to see Prom Night 2. All in all another lame month by Arrow for me.

Ha! I watched House 4 with my wife a few weeks ago. Our marriage was really touch and go for those 90 minutes.

Never liked the Prom Night sequels so that doesn't bother me that they weren't part of this announcement. Carrie on the other hand I will be buying. Just that cover alone has me sold. That is sick!
