Motel Hell & Foxy Brown are all I'll get from that list. I'll get the Criterion release of Blow Out if I decide I want that on blu.

I usually wait for reviews on Arrow product before committing, but so far I'm most excited about KNIGHTRIDERS in hi-def, with a proper FOXY BROWN special edition coming in second. I may pull the trigger on MOTEL HELL (unless Shout makes an announcement -- not sure if they grabbed it from MGM or not, but it would seem a good candidate).

I'll definitely hold out for comparison reviews before deciding on the Bavas and SPIDER BABY.

Very excited for deluxe editions of Motel Hell and Knightriders. Will pick those up soon after release. One day I'll grab Black Sabbath and Foxy Brown as well.

I see that Arrow Video's Blu-rays all state they are Region B. Has anyone ever tested to see if they are really Region free? I'd love to get THE KEY and ALL LADIES DO IT.

Shout has shot down MOTEL HELL so anybody who wants a decent version of the film on Blu will now have a choice: stick with the old MGM DVD or buy this presumed superior version. Love the artwork.

They are sometimes Region B locked. Demons & Demons 2 were locked for instance.

Put me down for Spider Baby, Knightriders and Black Sabbath. Although I may just buy Black Sabbath first and wait awhile and see how the others unfold stateside. Seems like 6 months later Synapse announces their own releases half the time.

I'll have to think about Foxy Brown, someone like Shout is bound to get their hands on the Pam Grier series. It'll depend on Arrow's transfer.

Motel Hell Blu I may have considered if it was Region ABC, but now this list is all poop to me.

So if they are locked where would an American purchase either a multi region or strictly 'B' region blu ray player? Suggestions would be much appreciated!

I love that version, and it´s the one that was released on VHS (in the early 80:s) over here in Sweden, which I used to watch about a billion times as a kid. :)

I was VERY disappointed when that awesome AIP soundtrack was not avalible on the DVD´s.

I personally have a Seiki BD660 as my region free player and it's both Blu-ray and DVD region free via a simple remote code which allows you to go into the factory settings menu and change both the DVD and Blu-ray region codes.

These are super cheap, around $80, and available at Walmart. Although I'm not sure if the US Walmarts stock them...

But if you have the cash to blow, the OPPO BDP-95 is considered the Holy Grail of region free players.

i noticed you recommend this model about 6 months ago, and decided to seek one out. unfortunately, i couldn't find any walmart that still carried them. i fear they may no longer stock this model. i was able to find a like-new player on kijiji for $60, and i've had absolutely no problems with it. its become our living room default dvd and blu ray player (set to region A most of the time, so my wife doesn't get confused ). so thanks for that recommendation, MS.

Mr. G, if you can find one, then go for it. but you might have to look a little harder to track one down...

i've never heard it, but as a Karloff fan, i've been wanting to ever since i bought the AB Bava boxes.

which is the Bava film where Christopher Lee is dubbed by a different actor? Whip and the Body, or Hercules in the Haunted World? its been so long since i've watched them, i can't remember. although i remember it being really offputting.
