would be awesome if arrow usa got the lakeshore catalog since they have The STuff this means we may see C.H.U.D. Godzilla 1985,House I and II and maybe a usa Hellraiser Scarlet box set although it probably wont have Hellraiser III Hell on Earth though

I already have the Capelight Steel of Re-Animator/Bride, so I doubt I'll be double dipping.

I would pop such a huge boner if Arrow could somehow get the rights to Yuzna's ROTLD 3...UNCUT.......

No kidding. It's gotta happen at some point, I'd hope. It's actually one of my few wish list films still unrealized.

Whether they do or if they made a sublicensing deal with Image, one thing's for sure, this is happy day. :)

I see US releases Hellraiser I and II in the very near future. ;)

I've been waiting for a proper release of THE ZERO BOYS. I'm super excited for that one! Both of the US dvds will soon disappear from my collection. I'm glad Arrow is releasing THE STUFF stateside. I really like the new artwork. Breaking the bank! I'm also fine with my Capelight Blu of Re-Animator but I'm a collector . . . . . . . so . . . . . IDK . . tough :)

So... Tobe Hooper's Eaten Alive gets a Region 1/A. How about their Cronenberg releases? (I scoured Amazon and everything they have on Rabid from Arrow seems to be Region B.)

Since Criterion have been re-releasing the Cronenberg stuff lately on Blu, perchance they have the rights for Shivers and Rabid. I can't confirm, but would make sense that North American rights are somewhere else and to why the Arrow releases are region B locked.

Considering how long it has been since either of those films saw a DVD release here in the States, I am guessing that there are North American rights issues and that they that fall into two camps: complicated or expensive.

...and every other genre it seems.

Lionsgate are the ones who sourced the Shivers "cut" version to Arrow, and likely why it's taking so looooooonnng to get an uncut replacement.

Make no mistake, they hold the rights here too... so forget any good release here for Rabid or Shivers for most likely a long time unless their policy changes. They don't license out shit domestically.

It would be nice to have SHIVERS and RABID on BLU stateside. But in the meantime, VUDU (digital streaming) has a decent HD copy of SHIVERS (88 min). I know it's totally unrelated to this thread, nice HD copies of PAPERHOUSE and WAXWORK 2 as well. And yes all owned by . . . . Lionsgate. Come on Lionsgate, release these on BLU.

So that means not all of Arrow's European releases are B locked?

Correct. The majority of the Arrow European releases are Region B locked, but there are a few that are region free (The Beyond, A Bay of Blood, Caligula, Frankenhooker, to name a few).
