I have it on order with Amazon. Can't wait!
I put in a pre-order for Cat via Amazon right after reading Arrow's announcement. Though the order processed, I fully expect that on or around the release date I'll receive a cancellation notice. But, I had to try!
Yep gonna get Basket Case next week at my record store really the only henenlotter film I like I never cared for his other films but the very first basket case I love so for me its a must upgrade to bluray.
US / UK / CA Titles:
US / UK title:
I'm really excited for all three US/UK releases, especially the Bloodthirsty trilogy and Death Smiles...
I only have the DVD of Last House and am keen to upgrade. Thanks, Arrow!
Last House & Death Smiles for me.
That's actually a pretty decent lineup for once.
I don’t mean to be an ass and I appreciate people passing on the info here but I’ve been wanting to ask this for a long time, when pasting stuff from Facebook can we please clean up the links before posting them so they go to where they say they go to? For example, the Arrow pre-order link for Last House on the Left shows as http://bit.ly/2onJ2h8 but the actual URL you will be taken to if you click that link is https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http://bit.ly/2onJ2h8&h=ATNLnAEtKxWMGit3uIf1OtZQQKy41v_E2f27sWlhbL3b7-RL0DpXXgU9VlewGfY2I2BJpppgIhovXQgu3CKIJ20gnfAjsvohMrDxzMSV_z_N1mq9CYIr44W-nc2qexlzW7k2_FMENsVgrj_72i9HLhuASLmSpfiCMcoPxSyq1rhnnyCGF5B2lsY_imra-Js5duvgakTTrCwWFGIw5kwqYZH3LeK6pHRdPe7bJTvUFS6L9vTg45Ym0YtF6Ss7
which is basically a page where Facebook asks if you really want to go to the link. The link should go to what it says it goes to: “http://bit.ly/2onJ2h8” (or the the page that you get redirected to from that link: https://arrowfilms.com/product-detail/the-last-house-on-the-left-blu-ray/FCD1738) and Facebook should only be part of the process of going to these links when we're viewing and clicking them from Facebook. It’s like that for probably all of them, it happens often when people paste stuff from Facebook, and it’s real annoying for those of us who do what we can to block Facebook from collecting our info.
Wow that Last house is stacked its gonna be a definite upgrade over that crappy menu less MGM bluray!
I plan to get Death Smiles on a Murderer and possibly The Bloodthirsty Trilogy.
Just brought the US Rawhead Rex, ow well, it will be the same transfer no doubt, I do like the sleeve even though Rex looks nothing like that! Extra's are about the same.
Same here. Last House on the Left is an uncomfortable film for sure, but it's perhaps my favourite Wes Craven - I actually consider it a stronger movie than The Virgin Spring, which it is modelled on. The soundtrack by David Hess is brilliant. Death Smiles on a Murderer is a blind buy, but I love Anthropophagus and like Absurd enough to want to check out some more D'Amato.
I already own the Kino Rawhead Rex, and when I revisited it, I concluded that it's not a movie I like enough to double-dip on.
Death Smiles at Murder is a bit slow and deliberate but maybe more clean and accomplished technically than the later D'Amato. It's been over 10 years since I saw it last.
I don't last love Last House, but it's strong stuff. The best thing about The Virgin Spring is
When the guy throws the kid and kills him, super shocking in the context of the film
Sorry, but I'm on a work laptop and some of these websites are blacklisted on our servers.
I've long awaited a release of the Toho Gothics which I guess they're trying to spin sell as "The Bloodthirsty Trilogy" as Asian releases can be a tough sell sometimes.
I have the three stand alone DVD's but will upgrade to blu.
What I'd recommend is pasting it first into Notepad. Then copying it fresh from Notepad and then pasting it here. This removes all the embedded links and uses only the literal texts. And then the forum software will create new code from the URL in the text that'll be clean and pure.
I do that a lot to blow away formatting and rich text I don't really like as well as all the hidden info like Facebook and other websites insert.
Watching the Moma restoration of Basket Case on the big screen at the Egyptian. It's amazing. It looks like a new film.
Blu-ray.com reviews Scalpel: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Scalpel-Blu-ray/194183/#Review
I enjoyed Scalpel - I like surgical/medical horror, and while Scalpel isn’t strictly a horror movie, it peppers its soap opera plot with enough sleaze, gruesome imagery, and tension to make it worthwhile for genre fans.
