Zombies Don't Run reviews The Slayer: http://zombiesdontrun.net/reviews/slayer-1982-blu-raydvd-review/
My copy of The Slayer arrived yesterday and it only took a week and a half from Amazon UK (which is strange since I've been waiting 3 weeks now for a package that I placed almost a month ago).
I had a worn out copy of this on VHS that I found in a used video store when I was in high school but the quality was so bad I never watched the whole movie. I popped this sucker in last night and watched the first 20 mins and I'm so into it. Love discovering these lost slasher gems. Gonna finish it tonight.
The steelbook is tempting, but already having the scarlet box, I really wouldn't need if besides collector's sake. I wonder if this will be a new trend for them? I think a Muilator steelbook would be fun.
Glad I got Re Animator limited edition because it is now OOP

Lol those specs must've been finalized weeks ago. They have several copies of the Arrow blu at this record shop near my house. They've had them for about a week now. The slipcover looks really nice.
I was hoping they would get disciples of the crow on here! yes!!!!
This review has been updated to reflect the fact that Arrow's release is, in fact, region free.
That's really cool and I wish that happened far more often. However, since Kino's edition is coming out in a few weeks I'll wait for the reviews on that one first. Extras are great but take a backseat to the quality of the picture itself, and if the picture is identical then I'm cool with settling with the cheaper domestic release. I almost never have the time to sit through an entire feature length film anymore, nevermind the extras!
