I wanna know more!!
Great that we finally got a release date on this, but I'm not holding my breath. It's been over a year since this DVD was originally supposed to be released and who's to say it won't get delayed even further.
I want want want this one very badly. But sadly, won't believe it until someone says they've seen it. I do hope it's true though. Was playing the soundtrack just last night, excellent stuff.
is this real all that good a movie? i loved the beyond, house by the cemetary, zombie, and city of the living dead. didnt really like new york ripper but im willing to give it another try.
It was the duck voice wasn't it?
Reckon you might be in trouble there Wez4555t. What did you think of Ducking?
"Don´t Torture a Duckling" is a great movie.
But hey Wez, be warnerd: "Lizard" is not exactly what you may think it is. It´s different. It´s good. But it´s not what you may expect.
as for Don´t Torture a Duckling ive never seen it. maybe i should see if i like that first?
Didn't the killer in New york Ripper talk in a duck voice?
yes, but i ment to say no as in it didnt bother me..my bad.
You won't like "Don't Torture a Duckling", Wes. Especially, if your into Fulci for the gore. It's not like his horror stuff and from what I remember the story really drags in the middle.
Or MAYBE you will LOVE "Don´t Torture a Duckling". The gore is just so-so, but the plot is cool.
And you can recognize some deaths that later would be re-used in movies like THE PSYCHIC and THE BEYOND.
Yeah, there is a possibility. Duckling is not bad and there are a couple scenes I remember liking a lot but still, does it drag as bad as I remember? (it's been a few years)
Who cares?! Its a lucio Fucli movie! Its gotta be good. But ill believe it when i see it. Amazon.com has the release date set for 2010! WTF!
Highly untrue. Have you seen DEMONIA or CONQUEST?
I finally saw LIZARD a little while ago and was really impressed by it. I am not a huge fan of DUCKLING, although I love gialli and many of Fulci's films, but this film is far different from it so I don't think the comparisons are justifiable. It isn't much like NEW YORK RIPPER either, and while it isn't completely atypical, there is no black-gloved killer stabbing busty brunettes with a scalpel. It combines the dreamy atmosphere of some of his supernatural works (I would say like THE BEYOND, but that would be taken out of context) with a relatively coherent plot and plausible story. I can't wait to see it all cleaned up on DVD.
Finally!...now someone needs to release 7 Notes in Black (aka The Psychic)!
Andrew is right, but if you have to compare it to an available AB Fulci, then Duckling is the one to go for, no? I'd hazard a guess, by the titles given, that Wez likes the gore. My logic was that if he liked Duckling, then he's more open to Fulci, and would therefore maybe like Lizard. I could have been wrong, of course.
Mind you, I fall into the same group as The_Tunneler, it's Fulci, so who cares? I enjoy Demonia.
At Fangoria that one is still in the "Future Undated"section.Supposedly being released by Image. No info at Image though.
while its true i like the gore (mmm gore) i also like the atmoshpere of those movies to. i also like the creepy feeling you get some times. im thinkin of dling duckling (dvd is still $18, if its even in print) and if i like it buy it and then lizard in a womans skin. thanks for the input!
