Has anyone seen this movie? I caught a few minutes of this last night on cable but I was so tired I just wanted to go to bed and sleep. It has Corey Haim, Priscilla Barnes and a bunch of eye candy girls. It seemed like a typical slasher movie but I only watched about 15 min. or so.
Not Bad Seen it! and I did like it but I liked "Slaughter Studios' a-little better Both had Hot Hole in it.
Dear god this film reaks. If the horror fans here want something truly to bitch about instead of what teen popped up in what remake. Watch this crap. God awful movie.
Let's see 1 Terror tunes 2 Pyclopes 3 Demonicus 4 The Killer Eye 5 Anything Braindamage made 6 Ghost Fever 7 Slashers Need any more ?
it wasn't great but it was far from the worst movie ever made. I liked the first half of it and wasn't sure about the last part. I also like Slaughter Studio more than Backlot Murders even though they were somewhat similar.
--Dear god this film reaks.-- I agree with this sentiment. It's a horribly dull and boring film. I can't think of a single good thing to say about it. It's an utter and complete waste of time.
DOH! I just blind bought the dvd at BB since it was only $6 and looked kinda fun, but after searching for and reading this thread I may have fucked up. It can't be worse than Return to Horror High or Fear No Evil, I hope! I'll probably give it a spin tonight anyway since returning shit to BB is like teaching a blind, deaf, mute, retarded dog to speak Spanish!
Thanks for the tip. I have been contemplating picking up "Return to Horror High" for a while now..... It's only $8 (Canadian) at Wal-Mart, but I've always heard it was just bad..... but since you say it sucks ass, I won't even bother!
Awww, sad to see all the hate here. I think it's a lot of fun. I love the wave of straight-to-DVD slasher flicks from the early '00s, I refer to it as the post-post-Scream era. Unfortunately, too few have made it to blu-ray, which is why I was excited to learn: Code Red is bringing The Backlot Murders to blu-ray!!!! Code Red in association with Dark Force Entertainment will be releasing one of Corey Haim's last movies on Blu-Ray featuring an amazing custom designed box cover by a renowned artist. The movie is a spoof on the slasher horror genre and was shot entirely on the backlot of Universal Studios. It features many classic movie sets including the original Hitchcock Psycho house which has never been used in any other movies other than Psycho! Stay tuned to this website for more information...
Snatched this up in a heart beat today when I was shocked to see it in my record store. I have always wanted to check it out. Also got April fools day scream factory bluray today.
