    Whatever tickles your funnybone ...

    Saw
Everything was fine, thrilling and entertaining until Saw took a hard left turn into unintentional humor territory near the end. Overdose of not-supposed-to-be-funny melodrama made me laugh quite a bit.

    Unbreakable
I'm not really a fan of this movie but when the kid pulled the gun on Bruce Willis in the kitchen -
such a bad moment! I must have rewatched that sequence about 10 times.

    House Of Sand And Fog
I like this film but Ben Kingsley's dramatic breakdown near the end ... just cracks me up.

    The Shining
Love the film but Shelley Duval's fugly outfits ... so bad it hurts ;)

Jaws - where the shark comes out of the water, onto the boat, and starts chomping at Quint

In the original PSYCHO when Arbogast (sp?) "runs" backwards down the stairs. That kills the moment for me every time.

    Okay, open fire......

Here's one that's always bothered me:

Seven - When Somerset and Mills are able to find the killer from
looking up his library card for "flagged" books

One that's pops out of my mind - the moustache of the cop in the first sleepaway camp. I know the movie isn't all that serious, but that moustache is... weird. That, and all the clothes of that movie, but hey, that was the sweet 80's

Hell yes I'm serious. It doesn't fit.

Do you really think John Doe is the type to research all this in the library? Or can you picture him with dog-eared editions of the classic literature, with his own notes and highlights written in?

And isn't it a LAME way to catch him? Government spying on people based on reading habits. Leave the conspiracy theories to the X-Files.

It's a "so-bad-it's good" bad moment in Mad Max ( U.S. dub especially ) when Toecutter, upon having a rifle pointed in his direction, sarcastically exclaims "Ahhhhhh! I HATE gunssss!"

The face he makes and the delivery of the line always gets me smirking, which I know was partly intended....but probably not as much as it comes across.

Yeah, it doesn't seem likely that he wouldn't have just gone ahead and purchased his own copies. Then again, one could argue that the only copies that WERE available of some of the books he wanted were at the library.

Then AGAIN, he was a crazy mofo and sometimes, even in spite of their brilliance in areas of their obssession, they tend to forget about the obvious leaks and create the "criminal mistake" that leaves a trail.

Well, if you want to time the film to its production/release date, then yeah, I would agree with you. However, now with the current Patriot Act, the government has the right to / is researching library records of criminal suspects. So, if it is now a viable legal option to the authorities, then it's not hard to fathom them going through improper channels for the same results.

Well that is a good point actually. But I liked the "big brother" sentiment none the less. It was also a credit to John Doe because they had to cheat to get him.

Not to mention the fact that John Doe WANTED them to find him / learn about him eventually................so, the library trail may have been intentional on his part.

I never liked the ending of Evil dead with the death of the last demon and the plastercine F/X. Just a bit to cheezy. Other then that great film.

    First thing I thought of.
Also (here he is again!) the kid from House By The Cemetery!
And every performance by Al Cliver/Cleaver.

Ha ha... that one always cracks me up. From what I can tell, the cop makes an earlier appearance in the film with a normal moustache. Later on he shows up again, and I don't know, maybe the actor shaved it off during the filming, but it looks to me like they put 2 pieces of black electrical tape on his face to make it look like he still had the 'stache.

That one gets me laughing every time.
