Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!
Yeah, the one I got from you wasn't all that. From what I understand it's one of the worst DVD transfers out there.
I still enjoyed it though but I know I will enjoy it much more when I see it in its OAR.
The R2 releases are OK but there's still room for improvement.
I have a hunch that a German version is around the corner.By Anolis perhaps?
If a good, clean print is available,a R1 release will follow.
I have the Sinema Diable release of Long Hair and a copy from Sinister Cinema. As usual, both are from the same print which is quite common for Steele releases. I never picked up the R2 disk as I am willing to bet it is from the same source. I agree that it is passable but has much room for improvement.
By the way, CP, have you seen this film?
I don't remember where I read it but someone on the net said that both the Raro and the French release (Nouveaux?) are from the same source but nothing spectacular.
For this reason I still haven't bought it.The French DVD isn't exactly English friendly and basically I decided to wait a while.
Nope never heard of it but I searched the IMDB and by the sound of it I could enjoy it
I haven't seen too many French films yet.Perhaps it's time to change that
Have you seen it?Is it fun?
Apparently there are more "Monocle" films?
Nope, havent seen it yet. I believe I will order it this weekend. I will send you a copy
Fangoria's Chopping list is updated and the release date is now April 28.
Pre Order at Amazon.
Both of these are going on my "wanted" list.
Looks like yet another boot company http://www.amazon.com/Long-Hair-Death-Angel-Satan/dp/B001L5Y78Y/ref=pd_sim_d_4
Well I will eat my words. Cant wait to pick it up!
It's still a boot company. The Long Hair of Death is a direct port of the italian disc.
The other from a French disc.
I will still pick it just to have An Angel. Once I get it I will do a comparison with my other copies of Long Hair.
Funny, I thought I remembered the SC version was B&W . Talk about a crappy transfer! I'm very glad this turned out this way. I will definitely add this to my next order.
Gothic greatness!
I actually watched the SW version over the weekend to refresh my memory before the new DVD comes out and that copy is in B&W as well. So it is going to be real nice to see the film in color and in scope. I cant wait to get my hands on it.
Steele looks like a fucking deformed man in this pic:
They have a DarkSky horror sale going on at Deep Discount right now...so I may have to order this for $8.14!
Yeah, I never understood why people find her so pretty. She had a great body though. I have some pictures in a book about Italian film. One is by Elisabetta Catalano.
I did some searching and found this:
