I enjoy The Omen but it just doesn't do it for me like Rosemary's Baby does. The paranoia and slow-building tension in Rosemary's Baby set it above The Omen as far as I'm concerned. In fact, it's one of my top three favorite movies of all time. ;)

This was a tough one because I love both of these films to death, but I had to go with Rosemary's Baby. It is far classier and has a more interesting story than The Omen, IMO.

BAH! Double post again! The Devil made me do it.

While I'm here, I'll quote this for truth:

Rosemary's Baby is a great movie, but there are some scenes which don't work and hence just make me laugh. Hail Satan! The Omen works the whole way through, so it gets my vote.

ROSEMARY'S BABY for me. It has a great feeling of dread and paranoia that builds and builds throughout the movie, where you aren't sure if she's a fucking hormonal mess or what. I like that.
THE OMEN is just a series of scary moments that build up to set-piece deaths, with no real tension in between. I am quite a fan of the movie but it does have a LOT of slow parts between it's classic moments.

This one was kind of hard, but I voted for Rosemary's baby.

Rosemary's Baby of course. Polanski's subtle approach to the subject matter is incredibly effective, and the film as a whole is one of the most suspenseful I've ever sat through. From the surreal tone of the hallucinatory rape sequence to the ending's unnerving ambiguity, this is a flawless classic through and through.

I love The Omen, but it just doesn't have the same impact on me.

I love both of these- but personally I enjoy watching The Omen more- the acting and cast was sooo much better than that horrible remake also....
