The Craft. Fairuza Balk, Robin Tunney, witches in school uniforms, and a decent movie....plus I just didn't like Eastwick way back when I saw it. Maybe I should give it another chance

Not the biggest fan of either, but Witches of Eastwick is a lot better.

    i liked the craft more

  5. No contest. Witches of Eastwick. I liked the Craft and all, but Witches had Jack and there's no beating that.

Went with WITCHES although it didn't have even the slightest bit of horror involved (well, except the scenes with Veronica Cartwright ).

It’s a tough call since I love both movies to one degree or another, but I had to go with The Craft, because I think it is the better made movie. The effects aren’t too over-the-top and any silliness is kept to a minimum. It also got a lot of Wicca facts correct, which is rare for something mainstream.

I also had to go with The Craft.

Not even Jack Nicholson can make up for Cher and Susan Surandon being in the same place at the same time.

Hard to go against Jack, but I remember that movie being campy, dumb, & disappionting. The Craft was fun and had a cast of hotties that wipe the floor with Cher.

The Craft is a well-made film for something so teenie. A lot of pretty disturbing effects and set pieces, which outweigh the simplicity and mediocrity of the story and acting.

Witches of Eastwick, on the other hand, is a superb film, all around. The effects are spot-on, even when they get campy, and the whole cast is just pleasent. A touching film, in some respects. No contest.

The Witches Of Eastwick because the acting is so much better. Wait, who am I kidding? The acting is much better (how could it not be?), but my vote is all about the cherries.

For those interested Warners are re-releasing The Witches Of Eastwick on DVD this August. That's the new cover art I posted. I do hope they will give us a new transfer as well, because the first release didn't look all that great.

Very true. I went with witches because it at least had Jack in it.

This was a very tough call. Jack Nicholson is one of my all-time favorite actors. Not crazy about Witches of Eastwick as a whole, but his performance carries the movie. I think The Craft is alright as a movie, but really love Fairuza Balk:evil:  . It's one of her best roles to date. I voted for Jack.

Originally voted for The Craft, but I'd vote Witches of Eastwick today because it stands up on rewatches better. Both dynamic and interesting, thoughtful. Eerily human despite getting so crazy toward the end. Sort of the Practical Magic of the 80's.

Though I do love The Craft more as a personal choice.

I never cared for the Witches of Eastwick for some reason - and The Craft I continue to enjoy after multiple viewings. So The Craft gets my vote
