Hey, this is the first I've heard of you having a website with reviews on it! Why have you been holding out on me? :(

I'm just kidding, I enjoyed reading a bunch of those reviews though.

Part 4 is actually pretty good. Part 5, oh god. That was truly awful.

Part 4 simply because it's Michael's return from being away for so long.

Halloween 4, no contest, but even that one....eek.

The only reason I can sit through Halloween 5 is because Anchor Bay's DiviMax transfer is absolutely beautiful.

Close one but picked Halloween 4, even though 5 has those two great cops.

Halloween 4 by a long shot. It's my favorite of the series behind the original.

Halloween 4. Part 5 makes me think of the lame man in black shooting up the police station and segueing into part 6's horrible mystical plotline.

While not a "real" Halloween film, part 4 was a lot of fun. I think I was 13 when it came out and when Carpenter's score kicked in I was sold. I had waited A LONG time for Michael's return.

What do you mean, "not a real Halloween film"? Explain. I'm intrigued LOL. :D

Part 4 was (I thought) a solid sequel with good work from Pleasance and Harris.I've never liked 5,some bad comedy and poor pace really hurt it.Just my opinion.

I guess what I mean is that part 4 is a non-Carpenter, non-Jamie Lee film that was released almost seven years after the last entry... Don't get me wrong, I like the movie but it kind of was a re-launch that luckily brought back Pleasance as its saving grace. The first two I consider to be near perfect... 4 is fun but it kind of devolves into a typical slasher rather than a HALLOWEEN film... you know?

Halloween 4 is quite good, but Halloween 5 is more stylishly shot, and it churns out more scares. I know there are continuity issues, but I've chosen to forgive them on accounts of the movie's strengths.

Halloween 4 always felt like a really good made-for-tv movie to me, I would imagine due to it's production values and what not. But Halloween 5 always seemed like the worst made for tv movie probably due to the incompetent direction and absolutely no atmosphere relating to halloween or previous films in series.

Really? I think part 4 is the better of the two, but I thought part 5 was really well directed and really showed off the Fall/ Halloween atmosphere. It would be a great flick if it didn't have those two cops in it, and the horrible prison ending.

I actually really like both of them a lot but I'd have to go with 4...slightly.

    I just want to say...

I know that I've been really insensitive toward Body Boy's opinions on Halloween 5 in years previous. And I still agree with almost everything I've said about the characters and the writing on H5 but I have enjoyed rewatching H5 recently and it has improved over the years for me. Just a little. So, minor olive branch?

    Halloween 4 > Halloween 5. But, H5 > so many other movies.

Oh, yeah: I voted for Halloween 4. Can't wait to rewatch that again. Wish I'd been able to do it for the Halloween season this year.
