In-N-Out Burger definitely wins best burger - Double Double Animal Style, friggin delicious. McDonalds is my go to typically when travelling and I won't want to sit inside. It's easy, compact, doesn't make a mess while I'm driving, I know what I'm in for every time. They definitely put crack (MSG?) in their burgers because they always leave you wanting more. Wendy's is pretty good - probably my second. Great Chicken sandwiches - Spicy Chicken, mmmm. I don't get the Sonic hype. Went once and thought the hot dogs were just ok, and the cheeseburger reminded my of a budget version of the Whopper. Taco Bell is pretty good too - I never have issues with that. Old school beef tacos and burrito supreme! We have a fast food chain here in CT called Dutchess which is probably my favorite. @buck135 has probably had it and can vouch. Big D with cheese, chili dogs - so good.
I've seen the billboards for Dutchess on I95 driving between Boston and NYC. One of these days I'll pull over and check 'em out.
It's called living by yourself for years and avoiding grocery shopping/cooking . That's where my expertise came from anyways. I think I had a stretch of 5 years where I didn't grocery shop once and the stove at my spot was purely for show.
I actually rarely eat fast food - just sometimes when I'm trying to get from point A to point B and need some quick grub.
There was a place called Orange Julius. I can't remember getting food from them but their drinks were good. I think they were the only fast food place that made a Pina Colada.
I clicked McDonalds because I've always liked their food. However, my REAL choice is Carl's Jr. I'm also a Dairy Queen fanatic.
I had Burger Kings new Bacon burger last night.....the one they've been advertising the dick out of lately...........holy fuck, incredible. Just the burger was over 7 bucks though.
There are or were a bunch of small local fast food places that are good too. I went to this one when I was younger. http://www.schoophamburgers.com/
I rarely go for fast food but sometimes I treat my kids to McDonalds. Chinese take out and pizza is more my thing.
Had a layover in Charlotte, and I was super hungry so I ordered a Cajun Chicken Biscuit from Bojangles Chicken & Biscuits. Wow, that was some goooood fried chicken fast food.
We just got a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers close to me (there's two others in the county, but not reasonably close). They literally only make chicken fingers. Their "chicken sandwich" is three chicken fingers on a bun. But damn if they're not good chicken fingers! I still prefer In-N-Out overall for fast food, but I'll be hitting up this chicken place at least once a month going forward.
