    My Votes:
    Emily Watson
    Jessica Harper
    Lee Remick
    Susan George

Emily Watson loses all sight of a next round birth with her harsh 12-3 loss to Geena Davis for THE FLY. Jessica Harper becomes the second Argento girl to advance, as she sneaks by in a close 10-7 win over the great Ellen Burstyn. Lee Remick sees nothing but good omens as she moves to round two with a 9-4 win over Ms. Blair. Lastly, there is a 4-4 tie with Susan George and Michelle Pfieffer, so they will both advance to the next round.

    Stay tuned...

Deborah Foreman as “Muffy/Buffy” in APRIL FOOL’S DAY- Hmm, sort of tough, but I found Brooke's performance a tad bit flat in SHOCK WAVES.

Candace Hilligoss as “Mary Henry” in CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962)- She was perfect here, and she pretty much made the film the classic it is.

Jennifer O’Neill as “Kim Obrist” in SCANNERS- This was a pretty tough one, as both gave wonderful performances, so I decided to go with the hotter of the two, and both are definately hot too.

Naomi Watts as “Rachel Keller” in THE RING- I am not a Curtis fan, and I think her performance in HALLOWEEN was just your average slasher performance. As for Naomi, not only is she actually talented, but she is also much more gorgeous than Curtis could ever hope to be. Her performance in THE RING is fantastic, and she makes the most of even the worst roles.

I am so glad that Susan George didn't get knocked out yet, I was starting to think we had totally divergent opinions on ladies in horror.

    Haven't seen SHOCK WAVES
Drew Barrymore - Her performance in FIRESTARTER was simply wonderful, especially for a child actress.
Jennifer O'Neill - She was just great while I found Dana Kimmel's performance in F13 Part 3 to be quite lacking.
Jamie Lee Curtis - This here is a no-brainer! :D

    13: No vote

    14: Candace Hilligoss

15: Jennifer O'Neill. Dana Kimmell is quite possibly the WORST actress I have ever seen in my entire life. I do imagine she must be good in bed though, as it's the only possible reason she's ever gotten any roles.

    16: Jamie Lee Curtis

13 - Wanted to vote for Deborah Foreman, but I haven't seen Shock Waves
    14 - Candace Hilligoss
    15 - Jennifer O'Neill
16 - Jamie Lee Curtis, although it's tough having to vote against Naomi Watts. Damn you for putting them head-to-head!

R1B13: Niether of these roles were nothing but crap. Why are they even on the list? That's pushing the limit on acting let alone best female horror performance.

    R1B14: Candace Hilligoss

    R1B15: Jennifer O'Neill

R1B16: Naomi Watts. However, if you would have listed Jamie for "only" the first Halloween she would have won hands down. Major error.

We had had this debate before, and I think listing it as a character rather than for a film is more appropriate. Otherwise there would be multiple nominations for the same performance (ie. JLC in Halloween, H20, H:R etc. or BC in Evil Dead 1, 2 and Army). I'd say you could just consider the character in the film you prefer, or for the performance as a whole. No worries.
