    My Votes:
Brooke Adams (she was fantastic here, she held the film together)
Candace Hilligoss (Drew was great too though)
Jennifer O'Neill (clearly the better performance, but I will always have a soft spot for Ms. Kimmell)
Jamie Lee Curtis (not even close)

It ain't April, but Brooke Adams is the only fool, as she loses to Deborah Foreman 6-3. Candace Hilligoss manages to burn the little firestarter, Drew Barrymore, to a pulp as she advances 8-3. Jennifer O'Neill pulls the come-from-behind victory as she blows up Dana Kimmell's cute little vapor-minded head with an 11-6 win. Lastly, the only videotape that killed Naomi Watts was apparently a copy of HALLOWEEN, as Jamie Lee Curtis moves on with a distant 13-4 victory. Watts' performance was very good in THE RING, it is a shame two solid performances had to face off so soon, but I guess that is the luck of the draw.

We're still just getting our feet wet, and here comes another fearless four...

    1. Betty Buckley as “Miss Collins” in CARRIE
Adrienne was nice but much better in CREEPSHOW.
    2. Felissa Rose as “Angela” in SLEEPAWAY CAMP
Eh, this is not fair! :( There's some foul play going on here ;) Anyways, went with Felissa. Not a great performance but she did ok playing innocent and being creepy as well.
    3. Margot Kidder as “Barbie Coard” in BLACK CHRISTMAS
Margot rocks my world in BLACK CHRISTMAS.
    4. Theresa Tilly (Sarah York) as “Shelly” in THE EVIL DEAD

Bracket 17: Betty Buckley. Just one of many great performances in this classic. I haven't seen the full list of nominees, but in addition to Spacek, Buckley, and Laurie, Amy Irving, PJ Soles, and Nancy Allen are worthy selections too. Easily the best female cast in horror history.

Bracket 18: As much as I'd like to give someone props for dying young (O'Rourke), Felissa Rose was amazing in Sleepaway Camp. I normally hate slashers. Loved this one. Felissa Rose's performance was a key reason.

Bracket 19: Interesting pairing, as the two played opposite each other in Sisters. Margot Kidder wins out either way though. She provided some fantastic comic relief in Black Christmas.

Bracket 20: Another tough one, but I'm going with Sandra Cassel here, even if I'm not a big fan of the movie. Last House is pretty hard to watch, and Sandra's performance is a primary reason.

    My Votes:
Adrienne Barbeau (this is one of my all time favorites)
Felissa Rose (Heather was great, but Felissa's restraint and haunting gaze are just too tough to vote against)
Jennifer Salt (another favorite of mine, this was an absolute rollercoaster ride of a performance)
    Sandra Cassel (easily)

"Watch out for the fog," and if this round was any indicator, Adrienne Barbeau as well. Barbeau beat out Betty Buckley's great performance in CARRIE with a 9 to 5 win. Another 9 to 5 victory saw Felissa Rose, phallus and all, beat out the late Heather O'Rourke. Canadian sweetheart Margot Kidder won her bracket with a brisk and brutal 7-1 win. It is a shame too, because Jennifer Salt deserved a whole lot more votes than she got! Lastly, in the closest match of the night, "Sarah York" escapes the last cabin on the left to beat Sandra Cassel out into round two with a 7-6 squirmer.

    Don't change that channel...

Angie did so much with so little. One of my personal favorite's from any de Palma movie.
    2. Dee Wallace-Stone as “Donna Trenton” in CUJO
One of Dee's finest moments ever.
    3. Amy Irving as “Sue Snell” in CARRIE
Tough one but I had to go with Amy even though she was much better in THE FURY.
    4. Kathy Bates as “Annie Wilkes” in MISERY
"You, you dirty bird!" Enuff said! :D
