I have received a few requests to take our best of each decade polls a step futher to find out what we think is the best of all time. I have contemplated how I’m going to do this so I have decided to do a round robin format two decades at a time ten from each decade (I will group the 40’s 30’s and 20’s into the final group) starting from a quarter final and working my way down to a final. Each Round will last a week.

The films were chosen from the top ten of the previous best of each decade polls.

TAKE NOTE THERE IS ONE OPTION FOR OTHER IN THIS POLL AND THAT FILM IS.

The Return of the Living Dead (1985)

This was tough, especially with Carrie on the list, but I went with Dawn of the Dead.

I had to go with Evil Dead. I can watch that movie over, and over, and over, and over again.

The Beyond comes in as a close second though

had to vote for carrie ( a movie i can watch again and again) but I love all those movies

  6. I noticed there are NO '90s movies on this list...

This poll wasn't fare as anyone who grew up during this time frame (such as myself...born in '74) will have MANY favorites off of this list.

It killed me to neglect many on this poll, but I went with Evil Dead.

Yeah i accidentally wrote 80's and 90's at the top of this poll. But it is only 70's and 80's

And as i already stated the films were chosen from the top ten of the previous best of each decade polls. So people need to stop compaining about the films as you are the ones who choose them!

I'm going to vote DAWN OF THE DEAD on this one, because I think it deserves it over some other ones that I personally prefer, but are not necessarily better movies.

I'll take The Beyond, even though I don't think it is actually the best made horror film of this era, but I sure as hell watch it a helluva more than the others on that list except perhaps Evil Dead 2 and The Thing.

Easily the best decades for horror. There are a few from the 60's that have a chance at sneaking an overall win, but I think this is the golden era of horror right here. It was a hard choice, but I went with Evil Dead.

Half of these films have a good chance of winning the whole thing. It's almost not fair.

I should have voted for Evil Dead as it has a chance of going forward, but I couldn't, because I love Evil Dead 2 more than any movie..ever. It has to get my vote.
