Scream the best horror film the last 15 years? I think someone's been tampering with these polls.

I can't believe a movie written by the same guy that did Dawson's Creek is going to win this round.

Cemetery Man, with Jacob's Ladder, Audition, A Tale of Two Sisters, Frailty, and Session 9 right behind.

  7. "Scream"

Although sadly it spawned a slew of unimaginative ripoffs, and two lackluster sequels, the actual style & message of the original film was absolute genius, and other than sticking with the franchise film's sequels, was really the only good original horror film to me throughout the last 15 years.

...that statement shocks/upsets me to no end! :eek1:

I actually think Scream tried to identify itself too closely to other horror films. The 1980's was the decade for slashers, Scream opened the door for most of the crap that was pumped out in the 1990's. Those are just my personal thought about the movie, I definitely don't want to start a big thing over the movie.

I would actually rank Scream as the last movie out of all the ones listed, but clearly I do not speak for the masses as the voting indicates.

    Dawson's Creek is the love.

But yeah. This possible result shocks the hell out of me. I really like the movie too, but the best? :eek1:

Well, it's not really horror, but it is my favorite from the list, so I picked AOD.

I'm not saying anything against Dawson's Creek. I know it had it's fans. I even watched it for a season or two and the final ep (poor, poor Jen..but at least Joey ended up with the right guy). heck, i even enjoyed Scream. it's definitely influenced horror movies and revived peoples' interest in them. but best movie of the last 15 years? I hope not.

    I went with Audition.

As I voted, Army of Darkness and Scream were winning. Both are crap. However, I did find myself wishing Scream won :D

Well, since you put it that way, I withdraw my complaint. Darn right she got the right guy.

Here ends our Dawson's Creek moment.
